Job Description
MedEx Transport is seeking an experienced and driven Regional Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations, growth, and strategic development of our Kernersville and Concord divisions. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, maintaining strong healthcare facility partnerships, driving business growth, and delivering exceptional customer and employee experiences across both markets. The Regional Operations Manager will directly oversee division performance, manage local leadership teams, and ensure the highest standards in transportation operations, fleet readiness, staff accountability, and service reliability. Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Kernersville and Concord divisions. Ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and consistency across both locations. Monitor and improve key performance indicators including: On-time performance Customer satisfaction Staff satisfaction and retention Fleet cleanliness and readiness Response times and service quality Conduct routine operational audits and inspections to maintain high standards. Ensure all vehicles, equipment, and facilities are maintained in clean, safe, and professional condition. Leadership & Staffing Recruit, hire, train, and supervise Office Managers for each division. Provide ongoing coaching, accountability, and performance management for local leadership teams. Support staffing initiatives including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling oversight, and retention strategies. Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and service excellence. Address employee concerns and operational issues in a timely and professional manner. Business Development & Partnerships Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, healthcare systems, nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare partners. Identify opportunities for growth and expansion within each market. Participate in networking, community outreach, and client relationship management efforts. Work closely with executive leadership to implement growth strategies and improve market presence. Customer Service & Quality Assurance Ensure a high level of customer service is consistently delivered to patients, healthcare partners, and internal stakeholders. Investigate and resolve service complaints, operational concerns, and client issues. Implement operational improvements based on performance trends and customer feedback. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with all company policies, healthcare transportation regulations, and safety standards. Promote and enforce safe operating procedures and workplace practices. Assist with incident investigations, corrective actions, and operational reporting as needed. Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of operations management experience, preferably in healthcare transportation, EMS, logistics, or healthcare services. Proven leadership experience managing operations and teams. Strong relationship-building and customer service skills. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Experience with staff management, scheduling oversight, and operational accountability. Ability to analyze operational metrics and implement process improvements. Proficient with Microsoft Office and operational software systems. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Preferred Qualifications Paramedic Certification Experience working with hospitals, healthcare systems, or ambulance operations. Knowledge of medical transportation regulations and compliance standards. Experience in business development or healthcare partnership management. Work Environment & Expectations Frequent travel between the Kernersville and Concord divisions. Availability to respond to operational issues outside normal business hours when necessary. Combination of office, field, and healthcare facility environments.
