Job Description
Region Line Manager 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars EnergyUnited is seeking a Region Line Manager to lead construction, operations, and maintenance activities within one of our service areas. This role ensures safe, reliable electric service to our members while driving operational excellence, employee development, and financial stewardship. The Region Line Manager provides leadership for line crews and regional staff, oversees emergency restoration efforts, manages regional budgets, and ensures compliance with engineering and safety standards. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong operational knowledge and a commitment to safety and member service. Key Responsibilities Direct construction, operation, and maintenance of distribution, transmission, and substation systems. Plan and schedule work to ensure efficiency, reliability, and timely service delivery. Ensure compliance with engineering standards, RUS requirements, NESC, and Cooperative policies. Lead emergency response and after-hours restoration efforts. Coordinate activities across Customer Service, Special Projects, Construction, Operations, and Maintenance teams. Manage equipment, materials, fleet coordination, and materials processes. Partner with Safety and Fleet leadership to maintain safe working conditions and equipment readiness. Conduct regular meetings, including weekly safety meetings, and enforce safety policies. Supervise employees, including time management, performance evaluations, training, promotions, and corrective action. Manage regional budgets and ensure financial accountability. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with 5 years of relevant field operations experience or 15 years of relevant field operations experience with demonstrated leadership experience Strong knowledge of electric distribution and transmission systems Experience with service restoration and construction work practices Knowledge of RUS Construction Manual, NESC, and electric utility safety standards Budgeting and operational planning experience preferred Valid North Carolina driver's license Working Conditions Standard hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Subject to call-out during storms and emergencies Must reside within 25 miles of assigned regional office Frequent outdoor work and exposure to varying weather conditions Why EnergyUnited?
