Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Assistant Operations Manager (AOM) who possesses strong communication skills and is capable of coordinating multiple projects at once. The ideal candidate is innovative, goal oriented and will work closely with both the Operations Manager and Director of Operations to help execute the daily business operations. This is a fast-paced role that requires a strong sense of urgency and an ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate effective communication flow between Network Carrier Partners (NCPs), customers, clients, and retail partners. Provide on-site warehouse support daily to ensure carrier teams and drivers adhere to client SOW procedures. Support the Operations manager in the recruitment, processing, and performance of carriers, including the onboarding, training, and development of Network Carrier Partners (NCPs). Act as a backup local Pulse representative within the market, fostering a positive image and ensuring adherence to Pulse standards, while upholding the Pulse culture and values. Directly responsible for training and supporting dispatch staff. Report directly to the Operations Manager, providing regular updates on operations and performance. Possess an intermediate understanding of office suite tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power Apps, and SharePoint. Maintain high standards for all operational activities. Direct and guide supporting staff.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED 2 years of operations experience. Experience with Microsoft Office. Supervisory experience in a transportation/supply chain environment. P&L experience. Proven leadership and collaboration skills with experience effectively supervising, coaching, and influencing employees. Excellent analytical, communication, and time management skills.
