JOB SUMMARY
Parking Services Supervisors are responsible for leading and managing Parking Services Attendants to ensure the effective delivery of services and adherence to established procedures. This role includes supervising, training, and evaluating staff; assigning and scheduling work; and implementing departmental programs, policies, and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Exhibit excellent customer service skills. 2. Observe and monitor patron activities within NBPA facilities and sites, providing assistance and support as needed to ensure a safe and positive environment . 3. Monitor NBPA-owned and operated sites to ensure safe and efficient operations, providing timely updates on status, reporting incidents or issues, and coordinating responses as needed. 4. Act as ambassadors of the NBPA to the general public. 5. Lead, direct and manage Parking Services Attendants by assigning and scheduling work, supervising daily operations, providing training and coaching, and ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.. 6. Supervise Parking Services Attendants by overseeing hiring needs and performance management activities. Provide coaching, counseling, and motivation to support employee development. Recommend and implement disciplinary actions and assist with employee relations issues. Assign, schedules and deploy personnel to meet operational needs, and identify and report staffing requirements. Review and approve timesheets for assigned employees to be processed for payroll. 7. Review daily activity logs and prepare statistical reports, and other reports as required. 8. Monitor the cameras in Command Center, including license plate searches for lost parking deck tickets.
  • Anything else that should be monitored on cameras? 9. Review, audit, and maintain a variety of operational documents, reports, and data, including: shift summaries, vehicle inspection sheets, incident reports, equipment, exception sheets, and Parking Services change funds log book.
  • Are these still accurate? 10. Responsible for ensuring proper procedure and documentation of the removal and return of revenue control equipment vaults, hoppers and cassettes containing cash and coins, by Maintenance personnel and their assigned Parking Services Attendants escort.

11. Answer the department's 24/7 phone line and respond appropriately. 12. Coordinate equipment and vehicle repair issues. 13. Must maintain a neat and clean appearance and remain in uniform during scheduled shift. 14. Maintain and uphold all NBPA policies and procedures. 15. Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner. 16. Represents the NBPA in a professional and courteous manner and treat public and co-workers with courtesy and respect. 17. Report any conditions to appropriate department head that represent a threat to safety, health and welfare of NBPA patrons, staff, tenants or property. 18. Perform any and all duties requested by supervisor and/or any manager.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES 1.
Knowledge of and skill in the application of supervisory techniques and principles. 2. Knowledge of departmental operations, policies and procedures. 3. Effective communication skills. 4. Strong customer service skills 5. Strong organizational and management skills 6. Ability to work effectively under pressure and multi-task.

Proficient in current office software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite. 7. Ability to analyze information and problem solve. 8. Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
WORKING CONDITIONS 1.
Required to work outdoors in all weather conditions. 2. Must be able to perform job duties that involve walking and standing for prolonged periods, with or without a reasonable accommodation. 3. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle. 4. Requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Prior management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in the security field a plus.
CERTIFICATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Valid NJ State Driver's License required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights and holidays as needed.
