Job Description
Position We are seeking a dedicated, motivated, and hands-on Beach Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our unique and dynamic beach facility. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a passion for customer service, team development, and safety. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the beach while leading staff and delivering an exceptional guest experience. Key Responsibilities Oversee all daily beach operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe functioning of the facility. Lead, motivate, and supervise seasonal staff while fostering a positive, team-oriented work environment. Enforce safety protocols, beach rules, and emergency procedures to maintain a secure environment for guests and employees. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest questions, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally. Manage opening and closing procedures, including operational readiness and cash handling when necessary.
Qualifications Previous supervisory or management experience preferred (hospitality, recreation, or outdoor facilities a plus). Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. Customer-focused mindset with a friendly and professional demeanor. Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and peak summer hours (before and after opening) Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and handle the physical demands of the role. Monitor beach conditions, weather changes, and crowd levels to proactively adjust staffing and operational needs. Creating team schedules and payroll for the staff. Communicate effectively with ownership regarding operations, staffing, incidents, and opportunities for improvement. Oversee special events, promotions, private rentals, and peak-season operations, including evenings and weekends as needed. Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the beach facility and guest amenities. Maintain inventory of operational supplies and coordinate maintenance needs Qualifications Previous management or leadership experience required; experience in hospitality, recreation, outdoor facilities, amusement or event operations is preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
