Eligible after 90 days Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and integrate Human Resources, Administration, and Finance/ERP functions within a manufacturing environment. This role is critical to the organization, serving as the primary internal resource for HR while also supporting administrative operations and financial systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong HR expertise, operational leadership, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving and process improvement. This position is open due to a planned retirement, with the goal of onboarding a successor in early May to allow for a smooth transition. Key Responsibilities Human Resources (Primary Focus) Lead all HR functions including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and employee relations Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations Manage benefits administration (medical, dental, vision, life, etc.) and open enrollment Maintain and update company policies, handbook, and required postings Oversee safety programs, OSHA compliance, and maintain

logs Handle workers' compensation reporting and injury tracking Conduct employee trainings, orientations, and exit interviews Support performance management, coaching, discipline, and documentation Provide guidance to leadership on HR best practices and employee matters Track and report HR metrics (headcount, turnover, training completion) Maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive employee information Administration Provide administrative support to executive leadership Manage company filings, permits, licenses, and insurance renewals Maintain corporate records, legal files, and compliance documentation Oversee company vehicle records, registrations, and insurance Administer petty cash and ensure accurate reconciliation Coordinate shipping claims, billing discrepancies, and vendor communications Support internal communication, scheduling, and office operations Drive improvements in administrative workflows and efficiency Finance / ERP & Operational Support Support and maintain ERP/accounting systems (permissions, workflows, integrations) Ensure data accuracy, audit trails, and system integrity Assist with purchasing, inventory, and operational processes Contribute to month-end processes and financial reporting support Develop reports and dashboards to support decision-making Partner with leadership to improve operational and financial visibility Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Minimum of 5+ years of HR experience (HR Generalist or similar role strongly preferred) Experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred Combination of education and relevant experience will be considered Technical & Functional Skills Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance, OSHA, and workers' compensation Experience with HRIS and ERP systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint, M365) Understanding of payroll, benefits, and internal controls Key Traits & Competencies Strong sense of ownership and accountability Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mentality Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion Leadership & Work Style Proven ability to coach, support, and guide employees and managers Strong collaboration skills across departments Ability to remain calm under pressure and navigate complex situations High level of integrity and trustworthiness Why This Role Matters This position plays a key leadership role in maintaining the operational backbone of the company.
