Job Description

Sound Collective is seeking an organized and proactive Operations Manager to lead cross-departmental coordination at our music education facility. In this role, you will act as the operational anchor, bridging communication gaps between admissions, instructional staff, and administrative teams. Your primary focus will be to implement strict quality control standards, eliminate workflow bottlenecks, and ensure that our daily on-site operations run smoothly and seamlessly. Sound Collective is a New York City-based music education hub offering world-class training for producers, DJs, and artists both online and in-person. Our in-person facilities and online platform blend expert-led courses, professional studios, modern tools, and a global creative community. We give creators everything they need to learn, collaborate, and make their best work both online and in person. Objectives Maintain constant communication with managers, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the company Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols Increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance the company's internal capacity Ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget Track staffing requirements, hiring new employees as needed Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable departments
Key Responsibilities Cross-Departmental Project Management:
Coordinate schedules, track timelines, and facilitate open communication between administrative, marketing, and instructional departments.
Quality Control & Compliance:
Establish and audit operational standards for music programs, student scheduling, and customer service touchpoints.
Process Optimization:
Identify procedural inefficiencies on-site and execute strategies to improve daily operational workflows.
On-Site Logistics & Facilities:
Oversee the daily physical footprint of the campus, ensuring instrument maintenance, room availability, and safety protocols are met.
Resource & Budget Management:
Oversee purchasing, inventory, and supply chain logistics, while managing operational budgets and forecasts.
Organizations:
Coordinating with department heads to achieve organizational goals
Improve Processes:
Improving work processes to increase productivity or reduce waste
Team Support:
Motivate and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including career development plans for direct reports and problem resolution
Data & CRM Management:
Manage data collection for the updating of metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service
Interdepartmental Communication:
Partner with cross-functional teams to improve proprietary tools and systems
Inventory:
Oversee materials and inventory
Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
3-5 years of operational management experience, preferably within an education, arts, or hospitality environment.
Skills:
Strong project management background with proficiency in scheduling and team collaboration tools.
Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to unite diverse technical and creative teams.
Presence:
Must be able to work 100% on-site to handle immediate operational and facility needs.
Attributes:
A passion for arts education, strong conflict-resolution skills, and an eagle eye for detail.
