The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hotel industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role involves managing multiple departments, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards of hospitality.. The Director of Hotel Operations will play a pivotal role in shaping the hotel's reputation and ensuring smooth, profitable operations. We are looking for a talented individual that can grow with us as we scale our hotel portfolio. Duties Lead and supervise general managers of each property, maintenance, sales, front desk, housekeeping, breakfast, and renovations to ensure seamless operations. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures aligned with hotel standards and industry best practices. Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and cost control measures to maximize profitability while maintaining quality service. Manage staffing levels, recruit new team members, conduct performance evaluations, and facilitate staff training programs focused on customer service excellence. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards across the property. Coach General Managers to handle guest complaints or issues promptly to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction. Help create in-house sales and marketing teams to promote hotel services, build base business and handle RFP's. Maintain effective communication across departments through phone etiquette, meetings, and reports. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, leadership development, and professional growth. Skills Proven supervisory experience within the hospitality industry or hotel management. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple departments effectively. Excellent human resources knowledge including staffing, training, and conflict resolution. Budgeting expertise to manage financial resources efficiently. Proficiency in hotel operations software and basic computer skills. Choice Hotels and IHG experience is preferred. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to facilitate communication with diverse guests and staff. Outstanding front desk management skills combined with phone etiquette for professional guest interactions. In-depth understanding of hospitality standards, guest services, and hotel industry trends.
