At-a-Glance:
Are you ready to build your career by joining a Utilities Solutions Company? If so, our client is hiring a Strategic Initiatives Manager.
Position Type:
Direct Hire Hybrid - approximately 2 days onsite per week
Required:
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred. Approximately 5 - 10 years of professional experience preferred, although more experienced candidates will also be considered. Background in management consulting, strategy, transformation, operational excellence, continuous improvement, corporate strategy, or business operations strongly preferred. Experience within the energy sector, utilities, infrastructure, industrial, or large complex organizations is beneficial but not required. Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and drive organizational change within complex environments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement capabilities. Ability to simplify complex concepts, build structured approaches, and communicate change effectively across diverse stakeholder groups. Executive presence, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build credibility and productive working relationships across leadership teams. Comfortable operating in environments where not every improvement initiative is straightforward, highly visible, or immediately embraced.
Responsibilities:
Partner closely with executive leadership to drive strategic and operational improvement initiatives across the organization. Lead and coordinate multiple concurrent improvement projects, ranging from short-term initiatives to multi-month transformational efforts. Assess existing business processes, workflows, governance structures, and cross-functional operating models to identify opportunities for greater efficiency, clarity, and organizational maturity. Translate complex, abstract organizational themes into actionable plans, clear frameworks, and implementable improvements. Analyze end-to-end processes, handoffs, decision points, and stakeholder interactions to design more effective and streamlined ways of working. Facilitate management-of-change initiatives, governance meetings, and strategic operating forums, including agenda preparation, documentation, action tracking, and implementation planning. Work collaboratively with leadership and functional teams to build alignment, drive adoption, and bring stakeholders through organizational change. Influence and support change across a broad range of business areas, recognizing that some initiatives may require sustained effort, persistence, and change management to achieve successful outcomes.
