Company DescriptionClarity Testing Services (CTS) is the leading provider of on-site mobile Drug & Alcohol (D&A) and Occupational Medicine testing services, primarily serving the New York tri-state area. Founded in 1995, and for the past 31 years, through its fleet of mobile units and 2 testing locations, CTS has provided services and solutions to meet the increasingly stringent testing requirements of the DOT (Department of Transportation) and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) for highly-regulated employers operating across the New York tri-state area. Job DescriptionWe are searching for a highly motivated, team-oriented individual to join our growing company as the Manager of Operations overseeing enterprise-wide operations. The position will be based out of our Tarrytown, NY corporate office and will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer. Must have the ability to travel between client sites and company locations as needed.

Position SummaryThe Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a drug and alcohol testing and OSHA medical testing company. This role ensures efficient workflow, regulatory compliance, exceptional customer service, and operational excellence while managing staff, scheduling, logistics, and quality assurance. The Operations Manager works closely with leadership to improve processes, maintain profitability, and support continued business growth.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations ManagementOversee daily operations across all testing locations and mobile testing services.

Ensure efficient scheduling of technicians, collectors, and medical staff.

Monitor workflow to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.

Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.

Coordinate equipment maintenance and inventory managementCollaborate with Fleet Manager to maintain safety, compliance, and operational readiness of mobile units.

Regulatory ComplianceEnsure compliance with DOT, OSHA, SAMHSA, CLIA, HIPAA, and applicable state regulations.

Maintain company certifications, licenses, and documentation.

Prepare for regulatory inspections and internal audits.

Keep current with changes in federal and state testing regulations.

Staff LeadershipHire, train, coach, and evaluate employees.

Create work schedules and manage staffing levels.

Conduct performance reviews and implement employee development plans.

Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.

Client RelationsMaintain strong relationships with employer clients.

Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.

Support business development by identifying opportunities to expand services.

Ensure service level agreements and turnaround times are consistently met.

Quality AssuranceMonitor accuracy and quality of testing procedures and documentation.

Implement continuous process improvement initiatives.

Track operational metrics and prepare management reports.

Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Financial OversightAssist with budgeting and expense management.

Monitor labor costs and operational efficiency.

Approve operational purchases within established guidelines.

Support billing accuracy and revenue cycle processes.

Safety & Risk ManagementPromote workplace safety throughout the organization.

Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards.

Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions.

Maintain emergency preparedness procedures.

QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum of 5 years of operations management experience.

Experience in occupational health, drug and alcohol testing, healthcare services, laboratory services, or a regulated industry.

Strong understanding of DOT and OSHA regulations.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling or electronic medical record software.

PreferredExperience managing multi-site operations.

Knowledge of electronic chain of custody systems (eCCF).Certified Professional Collector Trainer (CPCT) or similar certification.

Experience with quality management systems.
