1 Full Job Description We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated Area Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day store presentation, attendant staffing, and customer experience across our 5 retail laundromat locations in the Akron, Stow, Barberton, & Rittman area (4 attended locations, 1 unattended location). In this role, you will serve as the operational leader for our stores—ensuring our facilities meet high cleanliness standards, our shift attendants are supported and held accountable, and customer service issues are handled promptly.
Please Note :
Technical machine repair and electrical/mechanical equipment maintenance are handled entirely by our dedicated in-house Service Department. This role does not require mechanical machine repair skills. Your focus is 100% on store cleanliness, attendant leadership, and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities Store Cleanliness & Quality Audits:
Perform unannounced weekly site visits across all 5 locations to inspect folding tables, restrooms, glass, bulkheads, floors, and entryways. Enforce daily and weekly attendant cleaning routines. Attendant Staffing & Leadership (4 Attended Stores): Build and manage shift schedules to guarantee 100% shift coverage. Hire, onboard, and train store attendants on customer service, store routines, and company policies. Remote Phone Support & Triage (7:00 AM
  • 11:00 PM): Act as the primary point of contact for store attendants and customers during operating hours.
Resolve operational questions, access issues, or minor customer disputes over the phone.
Service Department Escalations:
When machine faults occur, direct staff to tag out equipment, process digital customer refunds when applicable, and route service tickets directly to our repair department.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
2+ years of supervisory or management experience in multi-unit retail, restaurant, hospitality, or facility management (Required) .
Driver's License:
Valid Driver's License and reliable personal transportation to travel daily between local store locations (Required) .
Leadership:
Proven ability to hire, train, schedule, and lead hourly shift workers.
Communication:
Strong interpersonal communication skills and comfort using smartphone apps for remote management, scheduling, and digital refund processing.
Availability:
Willingness to be reachable via phone during store operating hours (7:00 AM
