FIELD MANAGER - SECURITY & LOW-VOLTAGE SYSTEMS
Harb Security Systems Harb Security Systems is seeking an experienced, organized, and dependable Field Manager to oversee our field technicians and day-to-day field operations. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for technician scheduling, job execution, quality control, productivity, inventory, equipment, and overall accountability of the field team. The ideal candidate has strong leadership and organizational skills, understands field service operations, and is comfortable managing technicians while ensuring projects are completed correctly, professionally, and on schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Operations Assign technicians and coordinate daily dispatch assignments. Coordinate technician schedules with the Office Manager. Oversee field installation and service work. Ensure projects remain on schedule. Establish and enforce field standards. Ensure technicians follow company procedures and documentation requirements. Resolve field problems and operational issues as they arise. Help keep technicians productive and jobs moving efficiently. Quality Control Conduct quality-control inspections on active and completed projects. Review completed installations for workmanship and proper operation. Monitor overall service and installation quality. Identify and address recurring technical problems. Monitor callback/service-return rates. Ensure work meets company standards and customer expectations. Technician Management Supervise Field Technicians and Lead Technicians. Monitor technician attendance, productivity, professionalism, and performance. Conduct technician performance reviews. Identify performance or training issues. Develop and implement field training programs. Provide technicians with direction and support when field issues arise. Inventory, Tools & Equipment Maintain field inventory and ensure necessary materials are available for scheduled projects. Track company tools and equipment. Maintain accurate inventory records. Order necessary tools, equipment, and products. Approve field purchases within established company limits. Maintain accountability for company-issued tools and equipment. Vendor Coordination Maintain relationships with field-related vendors and suppliers. Assist with product and equipment selection when necessary. Daily Reporting Complete daily End-of-Day (EOD) reports. Report technician attendance and staffing issues. Report completed and outstanding jobs. Document quality-control issues. Report inventory and material needs. Report customer concerns. Report damaged, missing, or problematic tools and equipment. Provide the Operations Manager with accurate daily field information.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Success in this position will be measured by: Projects being completed on schedule. Low callback and return-service rates. Quality-control results. Technician productivity and accountability. QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience managing or supervising field technicians is preferred. Experience in security systems, low-voltage, electrical, telecommunications, construction, access control, CCTV, parking/gate systems, or a related technical field is strongly preferred. Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple technicians and projects simultaneously. Strong organizational and scheduling skills. Ability to hold employees accountable while maintaining a professional work environment. Comfortable communicating with customers, vendors, technicians, office staff, and management. Ability to troubleshoot field problems and make sound operational decisions. Basic computer, email, documentation, and reporting skills. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
