SERS The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of the ESC, ensuring efficient systems, compliance, and coordination across departments. This role focuses on operational execution, process improvement, and organizational support services to ensure programs and services are delivered effectively. This position supports organizational efficiency by managing facilities, transportation, safety, compliance, logistics, and operational processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned) Facilities & Building Operations Oversee building and grounds operations, including maintenance, repairs, and facility use Serve as primary contact for facility-related issues, including cleaning, safety and alarms Coordinate building leases, space utilization, and operational needs Ensure compliance with health permits and building safety requirements Safety & Compliance Oversee implementation of safety procedures and protocols, safety planning and emergency preparedness Coordinate compliance related to operational systems, including SB29, etc Ensure completion and tracking of state-mandated staff training (safety, compliance, cybersecurity) Operational Systems & Process Improvement Develop and implement operational procedures and workflows to reduce inefficiencies. Coordinate and standardize cross-department operational processes Vendor & Contract Coordination Oversee operational vendor relationships (facilities, services, etc.) Monitor vendor performance and service delivery Support the coordination of contracts in collaboration with the CFO and the administrative staff Supervision Supervise operational staff, including maintenance, transportation, reception, and marketing Provide direction, support, and accountability for operational performance Responsible for each department budget Core Competencies Strong organizational and operational management skills Ability to develop and implement systems and processes Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects Leadership Competencies Ability to coordinate across departments without formal authority Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to support organizational change and improvement Operational Competencies Knowledge of facilities, safety, and operational systems Understanding of compliance requirements in a school/public environment Ability to manage vendor relationships and contracts Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, or related field Experience in operations, project management, or organizational systems Demonstrated ability to improve processes and manage operations Preferred Experience in a school district, ESC, or public sector environment Experience managing facilities, transportation, or operational systems Background in process improvement or project management Physical Demands
