People Operations & HRIS Manager | Magic Concepts About Magic Concepts Magic Concepts is a fast-growing, multi-unit operator in the quick-service and fast-casual foodservice industry. As our restaurant footprint and workforce continue to expand, we're building a modern People Operations & HRIS function to keep pace replacing manual, spreadsheet-driven HR administration with real systems, clean data, and reliable reporting. Position Summary The People Operations & HRIS Manager owns Magic Concepts' human resources information system end-to-end — serving as the functional expert on the platform's core HR, compensation, and benefits modules, leading system projects from planning through go-live, and partnering with HR and Operations leaders to keep employee data accurate and processes efficient across a distributed, multi-unit workforce. Key Responsibilities Serve as the functional system administrator and subject-matter expert for Magic Concepts' HRIS/HCM platform (e.g., Workday, UKG, ADP, Paylocity), covering core HR, compensation, benefits, and talent modules. Lead full life-cycle HRIS projects — from platform evaluation and implementation through configuration, testing, launch, and ongoing support. Conduct regular gap analyses of current HR systems and processes, recommending and implementing improvements aligned with business needs. Evaluate and deploy periodic platform releases and feature updates, ensuring new functionality is configured and rolled out effectively. Own routine data audits to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of employee records across all systems. Build and maintain reporting and dashboards on headcount, turnover, labor cost, and other people metrics for HR and Operations leadership. Support cyclical HR processes such as open enrollment, performance management, and compensation planning through system configuration and process design. Provide end-user troubleshooting and support to HR team members, restaurant managers, and employees on HRIS self-service tools. Manage integrations between the HRIS and adjacent systems, including applicant tracking, payroll, scheduling/POS labor systems, and benefits carriers. Partner cross-functionally with HR, Operations, Finance, and field leadership to standardize people processes across a multi-unit restaurant footprint. Maintain compliant recordkeeping across the multiple states and jurisdictions in which Magic Concepts operates. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of HR or HR Operations experience, including at least 3 years of hands-onHRIS/HCM
system experience (e.g., Workday, UKG, ADP, Paylocity, Paycor). Multi-unit, multi-location operations experience strongly preferred — restaurant, retail, hospitality, or another hourly-workforce environment. Strong project management skills, with experience leading system implementations, upgrades, or migrations. Comprehensive knowledge of core HCM functional areas, including compensation, benefits, and talent management modules. Strong data analysis and reporting skills; advanced Excel required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to build relationships across corporate and field teams. PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification a plus, not required. Compensation & Benefits Salary will be based on experience, HRIS platform depth, and scope. The selected People Operations & HRIS Manager will be eligible for the following benefits.
