  • Reports To:
    Owner
  • Job Overview:
  • This position is responsible for managing and building the business unit focusing on sales and service, PMs; Repair; Load bank testing and servicing; generator rentals, and light tower rentals.
Candidate will be working directly with customers and managing the sales representatives and rental technicians who support customers. The Operations Manager must be able to perform independently with little supervision. The ability to manage multiple priorities is essential for this position. The Operations Manager must have generator business knowledge and demonstrate initiative, attention to detail, sense of urgency, commitment to team work, and enthusiasm for serving the customer.
  • Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Build business model and customer relations in the generator industry.
  • Working directly with distributors and manufacturers
  • Manage and direct salesman in territory
  • Manage projects and scheduling
  • Manage service technicians
  • Coordinate all rental units delivered to the customer with sales representatives and sales manager.
  • Review and approve all outgoing bids
  • Responsible for company's safety program to include monthly meetings, documentation, safety reports, and all other matters related to safety.
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining records of all the tools and equipment assigned to division.
  • Assist company management with special projects as needed.
  • Qualifications:
  • Specific industry experience desired or an equivalent college degree.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task are required.
  • Computer skills including experience with QuickBooks and the MS Office suite of programs is preferred.
