Director of Operations About Nortek Air Solutions Nortek Air Management is comprised of two individual businesses, Nortek Air Solutions and Nortek Global HVAC with annual sales of close to $1 billion across three market segments: Residential, Light Commercial and Custom Air Solutions. Directs and oversees the design, development and communication of Operations activities to ensure market competitiveness and organizational excellence.Position Key Attributes:

Direct and manage all activities and leadership of production and inventory control.This includes other responsibilities:
operational efficiency. monitoring of performance metrics, providing process guidance, championing safety in the workplace and in conjunction with quality department ensuring highest quality standards are met. Responsible for leading the commercialization of critical new products across multiple factories. Supports change management processes in operational efficiencies and policy. Adjustments through continuous communication, training, and follow-up. Resolves problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts. Budgetary responsibilities for both fixed and variable components and how they affect overall financial goals of the organization. Must work to understand cost drivers and report results to entire organization (KPI's). Ensures production is executed in a timely manner with a strong focus on cost. Recommends and supports investments in equipment and technology in the manufacturing facility supported by financial analysis and consistent with mission and strategy of organization. Ensures equipment operational design and flow is most effective for various products lines and production volume. Responsibilities are within Manufacturing/Engineering/Operations Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines Works closely with engineering, sales, and sourcing to drive an efficient process flow to meet customer needs and achieve business results. Works to drive a culture of safety through all activities and operations. Ensures it is the highest priority and a key filter in how we approach our work. Creates a receptive environment for all members of the Manufacturing Team to make suggestions and participate. Communicates a clear vision for the company to the Production Team (based on senior management's vision). Analyzes technology trends, human resource needs, and market demand to plan projects. Forecasts operating costs of department and directs preparation of budget requests. Advises management of new developments which may affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, and/or inter-departmental relations. Direct and manage department activities and leadership of logistics function. Evaluation of shipping and receiving methods with weighing cost, timing, and quality considerations. Provides direction and example for interpretation and application of company policies and procedures to the engineering activities.Position Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering 10+ years of experience in a leadership rolePreferred:
