  • Modernization Your main responsibilities The candidate will oversee the day-to-day field operations for elevator modernization projects, including hydraulic, geared, and gearless installations.
This role is responsible for managing field technicians, participating in field surveys for prospective modernization work, and supporting the development of project scopes, proposals, and bids. The individual must be able to accurately assess scope of work, manpower requirements, and timelines to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and profitably. A strong working knowledge of elevator equipment and parts is preferred, along with the ability to identify, source, and order the correct components for each phase of a project.
Additional responsibilities include:
Lead and build a collaborative, high-performing team of field technicians Manage training and development in accordance with established processes, tools, and standards Promote clear communication while maintaining strong working relationships with local union partners Ensure all modernization projects meet Company safety, quality, and contractual requirements Monitor job progress, completion, and productivity to drive operational efficiency Implement Company and customer standards related to quality, performance reliability, and passenger safety Support the sales team with modernization estimates, bids, and resolution of customer concerns Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and commitment to quality Participate in Company professional development programs to maintain and expand knowledge of products, services, and procedures What you bring Bachelor's degree preferred or a minimum of three years of technical experience in the elevator industry or a related field Experience with elevator and/or escalator installation and service preferred Prior supervisory experience managing a unionized workforce preferred Strong computer proficiency required; experience with Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and SAP preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills required What's in it for you?
