Role:
The Operations Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of daily operations within the warehouse and dispatch environments. This position is responsible for overseeing team performance, managing workflow, and maintaining compliance with safety standards to achieve operational excellence. The supervisor will coordinate resources, monitor employee productivity, and implement process improvements to optimize overall efficiency. Additionally, the role involves leading emergency response initiatives and conducting safety audits to uphold a secure workplace. Ultimately, the Operations Supervisor ensures that all operational activities align with company goals and regulatory requirements, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven experience in operations management or a supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment. Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and dispatching procedures. Demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams effectively. Familiarity with safety training protocols and conducting safety audits. Ability to respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in operations management or logistics (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma). Experience with PKMS or similar performance and knowledge management systems. Background in emergency response coordination or occupational health and safety. Advanced skills in data analysis and process improvement methodologies. Prior experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution center.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily operations of warehouse and dispatch teams to meet productivity and quality targets. Manage employee performance through coaching, training, and conducting regular evaluations to promote continuous improvement. Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and PKMS to monitor inventory, track shipments, and streamline dispatch processes. Conduct safety training sessions and perform routine safety audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. Lead emergency response efforts, including preparedness planning and incident management, to minimize operational disruptions.

The required skills such as operations management and team management are essential for organizing daily workflows and ensuring that team members perform at their best. Proficiency in dispatching and Warehouse Management Systems enables the supervisor to efficiently track inventory and coordinate shipments, reducing delays and errors. Employee performance management skills are applied to motivate staff, address challenges, and foster a culture of accountability. Safety training and conducting safety audits are critical for maintaining compliance and preventing workplace incidents, while emergency response skills ensure preparedness and swift action during unexpected events. Preferred skills like knowledge of PKMS and process improvement techniques further enhance the supervisor's ability to optimize operations and drive continuous improvement.
