Job Description

Wyomissing Optometric Center is seeking a Part-time (30 hours per week) highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Financial Operations Coordinator to oversee the financial operations of our growing optometric practice. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the financial health of the practice while supporting day-to-day business operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, analytical, and able to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. Prepare bank deposits and reconcile bank and credit card accounts. Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and financial planning. Track expenses and identify opportunities for improved efficiency and cost savings. Balance daily financial transactions and assist with month-end financial reconciliation. Assist with financial planning for equipment purchases and capital improvements.
Administrative Support:
Maintain accurate records and confidential business information. Assist with preparation of reports, spreadsheets, and business documents. Coordinate with the practice owner and accountants regarding financial and operational priorities.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, business administration, or healthcare administration. Experience with payroll processing and financial recordkeeping. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with financial and business information.
