Yes Position Summary Schuylkill County Transportation Authority (STS) is seeking a Road Supervisor to support daily fixed-route and shared-ride operations. This position serves as the Authority's primary field representative, ensuring safe, reliable, efficient, and customer-focused transit service. The Road Supervisor monitors service performance, supports operators in the field, responds to incidents and emergencies, investigates customer concerns, and works collaboratively with dispatch, maintenance, and operations staff to maintain service quality and compliance. Essential Responsibilities Conduct field observations of operators to ensure compliance with policies, safety standards, and customer service expectations Monitor route performance, schedule adherence, and overall service quality Provide on-road operational support during service disruptions, vehicle breakdowns, weather events, and emergencies Respond to accidents and incidents, gather information, complete reports, and coordinate with emergency responders and management Investigate customer complaints, service concerns, operator conduct issues, and passenger incidents Assist operators with passenger-related issues and maintain a safe operating environment Conduct route checks, bus stop inspections, and identify operational or safety concerns Maintain communication with dispatch, maintenance, and operations staff regarding service conditions Prepare reports and documentation related to observations, incidents, and corrective actions Operate Authority vehicles and perform revenue service driving as needed Support special events and emergency operations as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training is a plus Minimum of two (2) years of experience in transportation operations, supervision, customer service, safety, emergency response, or related field preferred Experience investigating accidents, incidents, or customer complaints preferred Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment under pressure Ability to learn and utilize transit software systems and operational technology Ability to work varying schedules based on operational needs Must possess or have the ability to obtain a CDL Class B license with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements Physical & Special Requirements Ability to walk, stand, bend, climb vehicle steps, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required Must obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate Position is subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements
