Legacy Behavioral Health Services is seeking an Director of People Operations to join our team in Admin. In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting individuals and families throughout South Georgia with compassionate, high-quality behavioral health services. The Director of People Operations serves as a strategic and operational leader for the People Operations (PO) function at Legacy Behavioral Health. This role oversees policy development, employee relations, performance management, training support, compliance, compensation, and all major PO systems. The Director of People Operations partners closely with executive leadership to align PO strategies with organizational goals and ensure compliance with employment laws and industry best practices. This position plays a critical role in shaping organizational culture, guiding workforce planning, and developing the PO team to achieve operational excellence. The Director will be supervised by the CEO.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 5+ years of Human Resource/People Operations experience Valid Drivers' License with less than 5 points. (Preferred) Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field PHR or SHRM-CP certification Strong background in employment law, employee relations, compensation, training, and compliance Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills Experience with POIS and compensation platforms (Dayforce and Payscale preferred) Strong project management, problem-solving, and organizational development experience

Working Conditions:
Must be physically and emotionally fit to work in a stress-filled environment to meet deadlines and deal with routine and crisis situations. May have extended periods of sitting, walking, and standing. Requires varying hours of duty to provide monitoring, educational and/or crisis handling, as well as travel to off campus locations in BHSGA or personal vehicle.
Work Environment:
Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk, with up to 75% of time spent using a computer, telephone, and other standard office equipment. Frequent use of office technology including computers, telephones, printers, and copiers. Effective verbal and written communication skills required for clear interaction in person, by phone, and via email. Visual acuity necessary for reviewing detailed documents, analyzing data on computer screens, and conducting audits or compliance assessments. Ability to walk short distances, climb stairs, and occasionally lift or carry items such as laptops, reports, training materials, or audit files weighing up to 20 pounds. Occasional local travel to agency offices, partner organizations, client sites, or community settings; must be able to independently navigate environments that may have limited accessibility or variable conditions. Exposure to diverse environmental conditions during site visits, including potential exposure to community settings that may vary in cleanliness or safety standards. Work is primarily office-based with standard lighting, temperature, and ergonomic controls; however, remote work or working from home may be required or permitted based on organizational needs and role responsibilities. Potential limited exposure to infectious or hazardous conditions; adherence to standard safety precautions and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required as appropriate. .
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: Must be able to lift fifteen to twenty-five pounds and endure extended periods of standing on a daily basis. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching as well as lifting and supporting the individuals served.
