  • Full-time Job Overview The Specialty Area Manager is a high-impact hybrid leadership role responsible for both owning the performance of a designated specialty practice and driving operational excellence across additional specialty locations.
This role combines hands-on practice management with regional training and performance leadership, serving as a player/coach who leads by example. The Specialty Area Manager will execute at a high level within their home office while partnering with other specialty locations to improve schedule optimization, case acceptance, clinical efficiency, and patient experience. This individual will be a key driver of the organization's operational standards, ensuring consistency, accountability, and growth across specialty services.
Job Functions:
Practice Leadership (Primary Office Ownership) Serve as the Practice Manager for a designated specialty office, owning day-to-day operations Drive performance against key metrics including production vs. budget, schedule utilization, case acceptance, and patient flow Lead daily huddles and ensure execution of best operational practices, including schedule optimization and same-day treatment opportunities Maintain strong team culture, accountability, and staff engagement Specialty Operations Support (Multi-Site Impact) Partner with additional specialty locations to improve operational performance and consistency Provide on-site and remote coaching to Practice Managers, Treatment Coordinators, and clinical teams Identify performance gaps and implement targeted action plans to improve results Support turnaround efforts in underperforming specialty offices Training and Development Train and onboard new Practice Managers and team members within specialty offices Standardize workflows and reinforce best practices across all supported locations Develop team capabilities in scheduling, case presentation, and patient experience Financial and Operational Management Monitor financial performance across primary and supported locations Analyze key performance indicators and implement strategies to drive growth and efficiency Partner with Revenue Cycle and Marketing teams to improve production, collections, and new patient flow. Patient Experience and Quality Assurance Ensure a high standard of patient care and experience across all locations Address and resolve escalated patient concerns in a timely and professional manner Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Communication and Relationship Management Act as a liaison between specialty offices and the Service Center Provide consistent updates and insights to leadership regarding performance and opportunities Foster strong relationships with providers, staff, and cross-functional teams Core Competencies and Qualifications Leadership and Team Development Operational Excellence Strategic Thinking Financial Acumen Data-Driven Decision Making Training and Coaching Communication and Relationship Building Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Adaptability and Change Management Work Environment The Specialty Area Manager operates in a hybrid environment, balancing responsibilities between a primary specialty practice and supporting additional specialty locations. This role requires regular on-site presence in the home office while also traveling to other practices to provide training, coaching, and operational support. The individual will work closely with clinical and administrative teams in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting. Travel Required Approximately 40
