The Center for Adoption Support and Education (C.A.S.E.) is a national leader in mental health services for the adoption, foster, and kinship care community. Department:
Office of Engagement + Advancement The Office of Engagement + Advancement serves as the strategic hub for how C.A.S.E. builds relationships, advances philanthropic investment, communicates its impact, and strengthens organizational growth in support of its mission and long-term sustainability. By integrating philanthropy, donor engagement, marketing, communications, partnerships, advocacy, and external engagement into one cohesive strategy, the office advances both the visibility and sustainability of C.A.S.E. Through coordinated relationship-building, strategic storytelling, development, brand stewardship, and partnerships, the office strengthens organizational capacity, deepens stakeholder engagement, expands national influence, and supports long-term mission impact. The Office of Engagement + Advancement works collaboratively across the organization to align external engagement, philanthropic strategy, and organizational storytelling with programmatic priorities and strategic growth goals. The office also serves as a key driver of donor engagement, national positioning, thought leadership, partnership development, and mission-centered communications that elevate the voice, leadership, and impact of C.A.S.E. Position Summary | Development Events + Operations Coordinator The Development Events + Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting the fundraising and development team by managing and coordinating all activities related to special events, fundraising campaigns, donor relations, and other development initiatives. The Development Events + Operations Coordinator will work closely with the Development Officer and with Office of E+A staff to ensure the successful executive of all projects, programs, and events. Event Support and Management
  • Lead event planning and management for C.A.S.E's two signature events: Annual Gala (including silent auction) and our Golf Tournament in partnership with Board and Co-Chairs.
  • Support the Kids' Adoption Network (KAN) conference through solicitation of sponsors.
  • Work in collaboration with the Development Officer, Chief Engagement + Advancement Officer (CEAO), Development Committee, event subcommittees, volunteers, and consultants as needed for event support. Database and Administrative Support
  • Perform detailed donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship tracking.
  • Maintain Donor Perfect standard operating procedures and data entry for all donations and sponsorships and coordinates with administrative staff for mailing support.
  • Monitor the fundraising targets within Donor Perfect, analyzes fundraising trends, tracks and report development goals.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile Give Cloud with QuickBooks for accurate financial accounting.
  • Keep C.A.S.E.'s online presence up to date through regular updates to sites like Benevity, Catalogue for Philanthropy, Pledgeling, GuideStar, and Network for Good. Donor Relations
  • Support direct mail and email appeals from start to finish to solicit funds.
  • Engage donors and prospects based on numerous criteria, including giving history and state of the donor life cycle.
  • Creatively thank donors, coordinating with administrative staff on printing and mailing acknowledgement letters. Broadening the Base
  • In collaboration with the Development Officer and staff, support the execution of strategies designed to increase donor engagement and broaden philanthropic support for C.A.S.E.
  • Coordinate activities related to recurring giving, new donor acquisition, and workplace giving programs, and assist with major gift initiatives through donor research, data management, and stewardship support. Committees
  • Provides logistical support to the Board Development Committee, which may include analysis of giving histories, executing mailing such as the annual end-of-year appeal, special appeals, event invitations and registration, and administrative support.
  • Attend and actively participates in a variety of internal and/or external meetings, committees, and/or events which may not be job related but are related to C.A.S.E's clients, mission, and/or employees, such as but not limited to, All-Staff Meetings, employee annual and or ad-hoc benefits meetings, retreats, etc.

  • Support the program's operational philosophy, goals, and objectives congruent with the mission, values, vision, and strategic direction of C.A.S.E.
  • Perform other related duties as may be required.
Campaign Execution :
Coordinate multi-pronged campaigns, including content scheduling and delivery.
    Brand Stewardship :
    Ensure adherence to C.A.S.E.'s brand guidelines in all materials.
      Data Handling :
      Compile analytics reports and monitor campaign performance using standard tools.
        Project Support :
        Manage specific workstreams, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
          Strategic Awareness :
          Demonstrate an understanding of organizational interests, position, and how it operates within broader contexts to influence direction and goal achievement.
            Relationship Management :
            Manage relationships effectively with both internal teams and key external partners, ensuring alignment and collaboration.
              Critical Thinking :
              In collaboration with their manager, consistently apply moderate critical thinking skills to meet individual and team objectives.
              • Bachelor's degree is required
              • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, event organizing and management, donor relations, development, or related work.
              • Proficiency with Donor Perfect or similar donor management systems (e.g., Salas, Bloomerang, Raiser's Edge) required.
              • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint required. Proficiency with Office 365, including SharePoint and Outlook preferred
              • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
              • Enthusiastic.
              • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
              • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
              • Experience with donor databases/CRM systems (e.g., Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, Bloomerang) preferred.
              • Knowledge of fundraising principles, donor cultivation strategies, and nonprofit operations.
              • Professionalism, discretion, and commitment to the organization's mission.

              WORK ENVIRONMENT
              • This position operates in a hybrid work environment, with a combination of remote work and on-site presence as needed.

              • The role requires occasional travel to off-site locations for events or meetings.
              Salary:
              Salary Range:
              $62,500-$67,500
