We are currently seeking a hands-on, process-driven Mailing Manager to lead our mailing operations. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient execution of high-volume mailing projects while maintaining strict quality and compliance standards. Summary The Mailing Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the mailing department, including workflow management, staff supervision, equipment utilization, and process improvement. This is a hybrid role requiring a strong presence on the production floor, working alongside operators to ensure jobs are executed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, highly organized, and capable of quickly understanding and managing complex workflows. This role requires a leader who can hold the department to high standards while maintaining throughput, accuracy, and compliance. Key Responsibilities Department Leadership & Oversight- Manage daily operations of the mailing department
- Supervise and support mailing staff, including inserter and inkjet operators
- Set expectations and enforce high standards for quality, efficiency, and accountability
- Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members
- Coordinate staffing and workload to meet production demands Workflow & Process Management
- Plan, prioritize, and sequence jobs to meet deadlines and optimize equipment usage
- Oversee workflow from data handoff through final mail induction
- Ensure all jobs are executed according to specifications and compliance requirements
- Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements
- Maintain clear communication between Prepress, Production, Shipping, and Client Services Equipment & Technical Oversight
- Oversee operation of mailing equipment including W+D inserters and Kirk-Rudy systems
- Assist with setup, troubleshooting, and optimization of equipment
- Ensure proper use of cameras, sensors, matching logic, and data integration
- Coordinate maintenance and service needs with internal teams or vendors Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all mailings meet USPS standards and internal quality requirements
- Verify job setup, output accuracy, and documentation prior to release
- Maintain consistency in barcode integrity, piece matching, and job execution
- Support resolution of mailing or data-related issues Operational Support
- Maintain a strong presence on the production floor; lead by example
- Assist with hands-on tasks when needed to keep production on track
- Monitor throughput, efficiency, and department performance metrics
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and documentation of SOPs Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in mailing operations, print production, or a related manufacturing environment
- Strong workflow and process management mindset
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot equipment
- Ability to quickly understand and manage complex production workflows
- Experience with inserting and/or mailing standards preferred
- Familiarity with W+D inserters and/or Kirk-Rudy systems is a strong plus
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment

Monday - Friday, with flexibility based on production needsCompensation:
$32.00 - $40.00 per hour- Overtime is expected during peak production periods, particularly during election cycles.
Pay:
