Master of Business Administration Full Job Description Position Overview:
The Operations Director will oversee the day-to-day operations of behavioral health services across both clinical and administrative functions, ensuring that systems, staff, and processes consistently support exceptional care delivery and organizational performance. This role partners closely with clinical leadership, Human Resources, shared services, and executive leadership to drive operational excellence, staff engagement, compliance, scalability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Senior Vice President of Operations Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership & Continuous Improvement:
Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies,and playbooks for behavior operations. Monitor, analyze, and report on operational KPIs (e.g., clinician utilization, intake turnaround, scheduling adherence, documentation timeliness) to drive growth. Lead root cause analysis of performance gaps, develop and execute action plans,and continuously improve operational performance. Partner with shared services (finance, HR, IT, revenue cycle) to ensure seamless support and alignment across functions. Forecast staffing, capacity, and resource needs; build business cases for investments in tools, training, and infrastructure.
Team Leadership & Development:
Supervise, mentor, coach, and support operations staff including intake, scheduling, care coordination, and administrative support teams. Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, performance reviews, development plans and recognition initiatives. Allocate workload, set priorities, and monitor team performance to ensure goals and service expectations are achieved. Clinician & Client Relations:
o Serve as the operations escalation point for clinician questions or administrative challenges and support timely resolution. o Support clinician onboarding, orientation to operational systems, and ongoing operational training. o Monitor clinician documentation compliance, timeliness, and quality in collaboration with clinical leadership. o Lead responses to escalated client and family concerns while ensuring appropriate follow-up and resolution. o Solicit feedback from clinicians and clients to inform operational improvements and enhance overall experience.
Compliance, Quality & Risk Management:
o Oversee compliance with behavioral health regulations, licensing requirements, HIPAA, and funding source guidelines. o Ensure data accuracy, audit readiness, confidentiality, and security of patient and operational data. o Partner with compliance, clinical leadership, and quality teams on internal audits, corrective actions, and process controls.
Strategic Initiatives & Growth:
o Identify opportunities for cost savings, process efficiencies, and automation. o Lead project management of cross-functional operational enhancements and system integrations. Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
o 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in operations, healthcare operations, or behavioral health services. o Proven track record of leading teams, delivering measurable performance improvement, and managing operations in complex environments. o Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced degree (MBA, MHA, MS) desired.
Technical & Analytical Skills:
o Strong Excel and data analysis skills, including formulas and pivot tables. o Experience with operational systems such as scheduling platforms and EMR systems. o Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable plans.
Leadership & Interpersonal Skills:
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams. o Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities. o Emotional intelligence, empathy, humility, and cultural competence in engaging diverse stakeholders. o Ability to exercise sound judgment and make timely, data-informed decisions.

Physical Requirements:
o Ability to be present in office or site locations as needed in a hybrid work environment. o Occasional travel across service regions. o Ability to sit, stand, walk, and lift light office materials (up to 25 lbs.) as needed.
