//creaturecoffee.co/ The Role We're looking for a Director of Operations a hands-on leader who takes pride in running a tight ship and empowering a team to do their best work. You'll be the backbone of Creature Coffee PHX's day-to-day operations: keeping our warehouse spotless and organized, making sure every machine is dialed in and event-ready, and leading the warehouse team with the kind of care and accountability that sets everyone up to succeed. This role is equal parts logistics and leadership. You'll build and maintain the systems that keep our events running smoothly behind the scenes, from how stock is stored and packed to how our team is trained and supported. Do Stock Management:
Build and maintain an organized, spotless warehouse system so your team can access what they need, quickly.
Event Prep:
Create accurate packing and return lists and keep FlashQuotes, Google Sheets, and Slack up to date so every event runs smoothly
Safety:
Foster a safe working environment by planning and executing regular safety training and ensuring all equipment is packed securely for transit.
Training:
Train, schedule, and manage your barista team s warehouse duties so everyone is prepped and confident before and after every event.
Maintenance:
Manage maintenance and servicing on all coffee equipment, vehicles and warehouse equipment.
Collaborate:
Partner with the Director team to align on goals and execution and bring an adaptable, solutions-first mindset to every event, always putting client needs at the center. Lead with
Excellence:
Set clear expectations and uphold the highest standards across the team.
Systems & Organization:
•Keep accurate, up-to-date records across Google Sheets and FlashQuotes.
Communicate Clearly:
Use Slack and internal tools to keep the whole team informed and aligned.
Innovate:
Continuously look for ways to improve our menu, materials, systems, and client experience.
Represent Creature:
Act as an ambassador for both Creature Coffee and the specialty coffee industry.
Barista Training :
Complete your full Creature Coffee barista training so you know what the buzz is all about! Qualifications 1+ year of specialty coffee experience 2+ years of management and training experience, ideally in a fast-paced or events-based setting 1+ year machine maintenance experience preferred A confident, grounded leader who holds high standards and brings out the best in their team Excellent communicator across all levels: leadership team, barista team and our clients Proficient with tools such as Homebase, Notion, Slack, and Google Suite Valid driver's license required Current Food Handler's certificate A proactive, solutions-oriented team player who thrives both independently and collaboratively Physical Demands and Work Environment Continually required to stand and walk for the duration of events Frequently required to lift, bend, stoop, or kneel Must be able to lift and move 75 lbs including large ice chests and espresso equipment such as the La Marzocco Linea Mini or GS3 Compensation & Benefits Package This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) with the following package:
Salary:
$65,000 basic, on target earnings of $69,500 (basic + bonus)
Health & Wellness Stipend:
$3,000 per year ($115 bi-weekly) PTO & Bank Holidays 8 paid bank holidays 3 weeks (Year 1) 4 weeks (Year 2) 5 weeks (Year 3) (accrued and transferable from your current role)
Paid Sick Leave:
10 days (80 hours) annually
Flexible Scheduling:
Based on event needs, with occasional hybrid/remote flexibility

Company laptop provided
Training & Development:
Ongoing training, quarterly 1:1s, and annual performance reviews
