Our expertise includes RF-over-Fiber systems, integrated photonics, RF interference cancellation, optical signal transport, microwave photonics, and next-generation electronic warfare solutions. We are transitioning decades of successful government-funded innovation into high-value commercial and defense products. For more than 25 years, PSI has successfully developed cutting-edge technologies through government-funded research programs and is now expanding its portfolio of commercial and defense products. PSI is a small, agile technology company where employees work closely together, decisions are made quickly, and individual contributions have a direct impact on company success. We are seeking an experienced technical business leader to help drive the next phase of our growth. Position Summary Reporting directly to the President and CEO, this position is expected to become a key member of the executive leadership team with increasing responsibility as the company continues to grow. This position combines operational leadership with product management, business development, customer engagement, and program management. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, customers, and executive leadership to transform innovative technologies into successful products while expanding PSI's commercial and government business. Primary Responsibilities Operations Leadership (~20%) Help lead the day-to-day technical and business operations of the company. Coordinate activities across engineering, manufacturing, sales, and program management. Assist executive leadership with strategic planning and execution. Develop operational processes that improve efficiency and support company growth. Participate in business planning, resource allocation, and organizational development. Help build and maintain a customer-focused culture throughout the organization. Product Management (~25%) Own product strategy and product roadmaps for RF photonics modules, RF-over-Fiber products, and RF interference-cancelling systems. Gather customer requirements and analyze market opportunities. Translate customer needs into product requirements and business cases. Work closely with engineering to prioritize development activities. Guide product launches, pricing, positioning, and lifecycle management. Identify opportunities to transition internally developed technologies into commercial products. Business Development & Sales (~30%) Serve as one of PSI's primary customer-facing representatives. Develop and execute business development strategies for government and commercial markets. Expand relationships with defense primes, government agencies, and commercial partners. Identify, qualify, capture, and close new government and commercial business opportunities. Lead customer presentations, technical briefings, and proposal efforts. Support strategic partnerships, licensing opportunities, and technology commercialization. Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and support revenue growth. Program Management (~25%) Manage government and commercial development programs from award through completion. Oversee schedules, budgets, deliverables, and customer communications. Ensure successful execution of contracts while maintaining customer satisfaction. Support proposal development, statements of work, and resource planning. Coordinate technical reviews and milestone planning. Ensure compliance with applicable
