Role Description The Executive Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Richmond, VA, responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for After school enrichment Education. This role oversees program planning and delivery, ensuring that all initiatives align with the organization's mission to support youth as lifelong learners. The Executive Director manages budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation to sustain and grow high-quality programs. They lead, mentor, and support staff, cultivating a collaborative, inclusive, and performance-focused work environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include partnering with schools and community organizations, engaging families and stakeholders, overseeing compliance and risk management, and reporting to the board on organizational progress and outcomes. The Executive Director also plays a key role in fundraising, grant management, and external relations to expand the organization's reach and impact. Qualifications Proven leadership and management skills, including team supervision, performance coaching, and organizational planning. Experience in education, youth development, or nonprofit program administration, with a strong commitment to student-centered learning. Financial and operational management abilities, including budgeting, reporting, and resource planning. Strong communication and relationship-building skills for working with staff, families, schools, community partners, and board members. Experience with fundraising, grant writing, or donor and stakeholder engagement is highly beneficial. Ability to design, evaluate, and improve programs using data, feedback, and best practices in education and youth development. Bachelor's degree in Education, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus. Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and creating safe, supportive environments for diverse youth and staff.
