(Tokyo), an AgriTech company building computer vision and SaaS solutions for the swine industry. Our products include an AI-based pig weight estimation camera system and a cloud production management platform. We are an early-stage team moving from pilot deployments into commercial operations. Role Summary The Field Operations Lead owns the commercial and operational relationship with our farm and packer accounts in the Upper Midwest. You will be responsible for account planning, commercial arrangements, customer retention and expansion, deployment coordination, and resolution of significant customer issues, working closely with our engineering and product teams in the U.S. and Japan. This is a customer-facing account leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable in a barn and in a commercial negotiation. Key Responsibilities Own the commercial and operational relationship for assigned farm and packer accounts, including account strategy, customer communications, and relationship development Develop and maintain account plans covering customer objectives, deployment schedules, commercial opportunities, and account risks Lead commercial discussions with customers, including pricing, trial conversion, renewals, and expansions, within authority delegated by the CEO, and prepare recommendations for CEO approval on material or nonstandard terms Lead customer onboarding, site assessments, trial programs, and deployment planning through to ongoing commercial operation Serve as the primary escalation point for significant commercial and operational issues, developing proposed resolutions that balance customer needs and EPA's business interests Coordinate installation, calibration, and support activity with field personnel and with engineering and product teams in the U.S. and Japan Build and maintain standard operating procedures, service documentation, and account records for field operations Provide day-to-day work direction to field operations staff as the team grows RequirementsRequired Qualifications 5+ years of experience in B2B account management, customer success, commercial operations, field service, or technical account management, preferably within AgTech, agricultural services, animal agriculture, or the agricultural equipment sector Demonstrated responsibility for commercially significant customer accounts, including pricing, renewals, contract scope, or account expansion Experience building repeatable processes or documentation from scratch in an unstructured environment Comfort working hands-on in livestock production environments, including regular presence in active barns Valid U.S. driver's license and willingness to drive regularly to customer sites Based in or willing to relocate to Sioux Falls, South Dakota Preferred Qualifications Direct experience in swine production, meat processing, or livestock technology deployment Familiarity with sensors, cameras, networking, or other connected hardware in a field environment Japanese or Spanish language ability is a plus: Japanese supports direct coordination with our engineering and product teams in Japan, and Spanish is widely spoken on farm crews in the region. Working Conditions Driving to customer sites is an essential function of this position. This position requires satisfactory results from a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review, conducted following a conditional offer of employment. Work is performed in barns, production facilities, and processing plants, including exposure to variable temperatures, noise, odor, and dust Requires adherence to customer bio-security protocols, including shower-in/shower-out procedures at some sites Frequent overnight travel within the Upper Midwest Growth Path As our field organization grows, this role is expected to expand in scope, with the potential to develop into a manager-level position with direct people leadership responsibility. Benefits Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: $90,000 to $115,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Full benefits including medical, 401(k), and paid time off.
