Job Description
Overview The Finance Operations Manager is responsible for managing Pluck'd's day-to-day financial operations, with primary ownership of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and related financial controls. This role works closely with Finance, Sales, Human Resources, vendors, customers, and onsite leaders to ensure payments, collections, payroll, and financial records are accurate, timely, and well managed. The position is also responsible for resolving discrepancies, improving processes, and identifying financial or operational risks. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable Manage vendor invoices and payments, ensuring they are accurate, properly approved, and paid on time. Maintain vendor records and resolve invoice, payment, and account discrepancies directly with vendors. Monitor upcoming obligations and recommend improvements to payment processes, vendor terms, and internal controls. Accounts Receivable Manage customer invoicing, payment application, collections, deductions, and account reconciliations. Partner closely with Sales to resolve customer account issues and coordinate invoicing and collection activity. Monitor outstanding balances, identify payment risks, and determine appropriate follow-up or escalation. Payroll Oversee the accurate and timely processing of biweekly payroll, including the review of time records, pay rates, deductions, reimbursements, and payroll changes. Work with Human Resources and department managers to investigate and resolve payroll and timekeeping discrepancies. Maintain confidential payroll records and support reconciliations, reporting, audits, and year-end processes. Financial Operations and Reporting Support account reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and audit requests. Analyze financial and payroll information to identify discrepancies, risks, and opportunities for process improvement. Develop and improve financial procedures, controls, documentation, and supporting business systems. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in finance operations, accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bookkeeping, or a related field. Experience working with accounting, payroll, expense-management, or ERP systems. Strong attention to detail, organization, and financial recordkeeping skills. Ability to independently manage deadlines, investigate discrepancies, and recommend solutions. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite. Ability to handle confidential employee, vendor, customer, and financial information with discretion. Preferred Experience supporting payroll for an hourly or operational workforce. Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, distribution, food production, or a similar environment. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics or a comparable ERP system. Experience supporting month-end close, audits, budgeting, or financial reporting. This position is initially expected to work onsite approximately three days per week. Once the company's permanent office space is completed, the onsite expectation is anticipated to increase to four or five days per week based on business needs. This is a full-time, salaried exempt position. The anticipated salary range is $60,000 to $80,000 annually , depending on experience and qualifications.
