Group Finance Director Position Overview The Manager of Accounting & Finance oversees the company's financial operations, reporting, compliance, and processes, reporting to the Group Finance Director based in Europe. The U.S. headquarters in Louisville, KY is expanding, making this role pivotal in ensuring accurate financial close, cash flow forecasting, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance. This role collaborates with various departments to provide financial insights into project performance, capital expenditures, and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities Financial Close & Reporting:
Lead and manage monthly close process for accurate financial reporting Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations Oversee Blackline reconciliations and system uploads Produce monthly financial statements and reporting packages Present financial results to leadership and participate in review meetings
Forecasting, Cash Flow & FP&A:
Manage 13-week cash flow forecast and liquidity analysis Support rolling forecasts and budget updates Analyze variances between actuals, forecast, and budget Provide actionable financial insights and recommendations
Compliance, Tax & Regulatory Reporting:
Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements Oversee preparation and filing of returns and reports Manage relationships with external advisors and auditors
Project & Capital Accounting:
Track CAPEX and project budgets with engineering and operations Monitor project costs and timelines Manage asset capitalization processes
Process Improvement & Systems:
Identify and implement process improvements Drive automation and efficiency in financial systems
Leadership & Collaboration:
Provide oversight and guidance to accounting staff Serve as finance partner to operations and leadership
Qualifications Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA preferred, MBA a plus 8-12+ years of experience in accounting/finance
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting ERP and financial systems experience with tools such as D365 Advanced Excel skills, Power BI a plus

Preferred Experience:
Experience with tax credits and incentives Project or capital accounting experience Multi-entity or international exposure
