Operations Manager - Pan Gregorian Enterprises of Upper New York (PGE UNY) Full-Time | Hybrid | Nonprofit Restaurant Cooperative Pan Gregorian Enterprises of Upper New York (PGE UNY) is a nonprofit purchasing cooperative supporting over 500 independent restaurant members across New York State.
Our mission is simple:
help independent restaurants reduce costs, strengthen vendor relationships, and build a supportive community of independent operators. We are seeking a highly organized, relationship-driven Operations Manager to lead daily operations, manage vendor programs, and support the ongoing success of our members and partners. This is a hybrid role with flexible scheduling and a high degree of autonomy. About the Role The Operations Manager oversees the full operational ecosystem of PGE UNY — from vendor contract administration and member support to reporting, communication, and board coordination. You will be the central point of contact for restaurant members, manufacturers, and distributor partners. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in an independent work environment, enjoys building strong partnerships, and has experience managing purchasing, vendor programs, or foodservice operations. Key ResponsibilitiesMember Support & Community Engagement Serve as the primary point of contact for 500+ independent restaurant members Assist members with pricing programs, vendor questions, and issue resolution Support member recruitment and onboarding Strengthen the cooperative's community-building initiatives Vendor & Distributor Relations Manage relationships with key distributors and manufacturers Administer vendor programs, rebates, and loyalty agreements Coordinate manufacturer renewals and performance updates Maintain accurate pricing, margins, exclusions, and contract compliance Financial & Program Administration Monitor program performance and rebate tracking Prepare monthly and quarterly analytics for board review Maintain program summaries and contract documentation Support cooperative initiatives including member marketing campaigns and special programs Communications & Reporting Prepare and distribute the monthly PGE UNY member statements Prepare quarterly manufacturer invoices Prepare and distribute the monthly PGE UNY member newsletter Create and deliver timely reports to the Board of Directors Board Support Prepare materials and agendas for board meetings Track action items and follow-up initiatives Provide clear, organized updates to Board leadership Technology Maintain website Maintain social media accounts Enter data into rebate tracking system Generate purchasing reporting from system Requirements Experience in foodservice, restaurant supply, purchasing, or vendor management Strong relationship-building and communication skills Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage many moving parts Strong analytical and reporting skills (Excel/Sheets proficiency) Ability to work independently and take initiative Comfortable in a hybrid environment with flexible hours Salary $80,000 - $90,000 per year Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Candidates with strong vendor-management, purchasing, or foodservice industry backgrounds may be considered at the higher end of the range.
