Operations Manager Description:
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily administrative, programming support, and logistical operations of Berkshire Pulse's studios in Housatonic, MA. They serve as the bridge between administrative and artistic staff, faculty, students/parents, andmunity members to ensure seamless day-to-day operations andmunications. FRONT DESK & COMMUNICATIONS MANAGEMENT
Supervise and facilitate front desk staffing and operations, including but not limited to: opening and closing studios, and performing end-of-the-day maintenance tasks; creating,anizing, and maintaining front desk documents and signage; enrolling new students and processing registrations; payment collection and processing for students and renters; enforcing Pulse's Code of Conduct and safety protocols
Supervise front desk staff's externalmunications to ensure accuracy and timely responses, and thatmunications are forwarded to the correct staff or faculty
Update and maintainanizational contacts and distribution lists REGISTRATION MANAGEMENT
Collaborate with/delegate tasks to the Administrative Assistant and Front Desk Staff to prepare and facilitate registrations at the beginning of each Fall, Spring, and Summer session facilitate updates (WordPress) specific to the registration process HR / SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Hire, train, and manage Front Desk Supervisor and Front Desk Staff, including approving work schedules and facilitating individual tasks/projects
Manage the Administrative Assistant in their office management and class support responsibilities
Provide regular feedback and lead performance reviews; provide support and mentorship to support staff to help achieve their performance goals HR / PAYROLL ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT
Assist the Programs teams with drafting teaching and seasonal staff contracts, and the Finance Director in administering monthly payroll for teaching artists and support staff
Overseepany management logistics (housing, transportation, andmunications) for out-of-town teachers and artists STUDIO RENTALS & EVENT SUPPORT
Manage all aspects of Pulse's studio rental program, and collaborate with the In-School & Community Programs Manager to facilitate artist residencies
Assist with coordinating and arranging staffing formunity events and performances, both at Pulse's studios and at off-site venues IT SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT
With the Executive Director, serve as a Super Admin for managing Pulse's Google Suite and oversee the MindBody registration system and client database
Generate and/or proof reports for the Finance, Fundraising, and Programming purposes FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
Oversee daily operations associated with facility maintenance: monitoring office and cleaning supplies, updating protocols, vendor relations andmunications, andmunicating with landlord about issues and maintenance needs in public areas
Maintain and enforce Code of Conduct and safety protocols affiliated with facility maintenance and daily operations; train staff andmunicate changes with studentsmunity members
Ensure facility and studio operationsply with Pulse's accessibility plan and ADA requirements Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalentbination of education and work experience
3+ years of direct experience supervising and managing staff;
Proven expertise using Google Suite, MS Office (especially Excel), and similar software; Comfortable working with and learning new software/IT systems, including some experience working with databases/CRMs and editing
Excellent time management, attention to detail,anizational planning, and administrative skills
Must possess strongmunication and interpersonal skills - both written and oral - with an ability to work collaboratively with the Executive Director, Artistic Director, Pulse staff and teaching artists, Board members, and volunteers
Customer service experience is highly desirable; some facilities management experience is helpful, or a willingness to learn

Must have reliable transportation to Housatonic, MA. This is primarily an in-person role, with the option to work from home/remotely 1 day/week with supervisor approval.
