Hybrid Full-Time Salary Range:
$65,000-$70,000 annually Lead Compliance & Operational Excellence at NDTCO New Direction Trust Company is seeking a detail-oriented, people-focused leader to help oversee and support our Trust Compliance team. Our clients invest in real estate, private equity, startups, and alternative assets — and our Trust Compliance team plays a critical role in ensuring accounts remain compliant, accurate, and operationally sound. About the Role The Trust Compliance Team Lead is responsible for supporting the daily operations, workflow management, and development of the Trust Compliance team while maintaining a strong understanding of trust account administration and compliance responsibilities. This role serves as a working leader who provides guidance, mentorship, and operational oversight to team members while helping ensure trust activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with regulatory requirements and internal policies. This individual will play a key role in employee development, process improvement, accountability, and maintaining a collaborative, positive team environment. The ideal candidate is organized, solutions-oriented, detail-driven, and passionate about helping others succeed. What You'll Do Team Leadership & Development Coach and support Trust Compliance team members in day-to-day responsibilities and professional development Assist with onboarding, training, mentoring, and employee growth Help manage workflow distribution, productivity, and operational priorities Foster accountability, teamwork, and a positive team culture Serve as a resource for escalations, questions, and compliance guidance Conduct ongoing coaching conversations and bi-annual performance reviews Identify opportunities for operational improvements and process efficiencies Trust Compliance Oversight Oversee and support daily trust compliance activities and account maintenance Manage and maintain a portfolio of trust accounts and related activities Ensure activities align with IRS guidelines, trust regulations, and internal policies Support oversight of: Fair Market Valuations (FMVs) Zero-value account management Beneficiary and address updates Power of Attorney (POA) processing Account resignations Portal communications Data and document integrity reviews Help maintain the Trust activities calendar and support deadline accountability Ensure procedures and process documentation remain current and scalable Collaboration & Client Experience Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Client Services, Accounting, and leadership teams Support a high level of client service through professionalism, responsiveness, and operational accuracy Help ensure clients receive timely and compliant account administration support Contribute to operational initiatives that improve efficiency and the client experience What We're Looking For Leadership mindset with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop others Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Professional judgment, adaptability, and accountability Collaborative and positive approach to teamwork High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Oracle CX Cloud experience is a plus Ability to pass a criminal background check Preferred Experience 3+ years of experience in financial services, banking, trust operations, compliance, or related industries Previous leadership, mentoring, or team lead experience preferred IRA, trust company, or alternative investment experience strongly preferred Knowledge of trust operations, IRA regulations, and tax-advantaged account requirements Experience managing operational processes, compliance workflows, and employee development Why Join NDTCO?
