Controls, procedures, managing personnel, and responding to abnormal events. Key Responsibilities Ensuring all operations are conducted safely and in accordance with procedures, safety regulations, and DOE orders. Directing and overseeing shift personnel, including training, qualification, and performance management. Managing the day-to-day operations of the facility, including monitoring work activities, authorizing changes, and troubleshooting issues. Taking appropriate action during abnormal events, including making notifications, mitigating consequences, and restoring the facility to a safe and stable condition Communicating with other support organizations, facility representatives, and senior management regarding operational status, issues, and event notifications. Identifying and implementing programs for personnel performance improvement and ensuring accountability through performance management. Ensuring that Technical Safety Requirements (TSRs) and Limiting Conditions for Operation (LCOs) are understood and followed by shift personnel. Performing administrative tasks, such as reviewing work packages, developing plans, and authoring reports. A comprehensive understanding of the facility, its systems, and relevant policies, procedures, and regulations. The ability to effectively lead, communicate, and make decisions under pressure. The ability to troubleshoot issues, analyze situations, and make sound decisions in a timely manner.
