HVAC Service Manager Pay Range:
$85,000 base + uncapped performance bonus!
Compensation Breakdown:
Bonuses:
$50,000 at target - Uncapped bonus on how your department runs. Hit your targets and total pay is around $135,000. Run it well and it goes past $165,000. Part of the bonus is earned on your team's production whether or not the revenue month goes your way.

$85,000 base salary
Location:
Duncan, SC Schedule:
Full-Time Monday to Friday, 7:30 to 4:30, ahead of the technicians. Available to your team after hours when they are on a call. Weekend on call shared with our other managers so nobody carries it alone.

Requirements:
Real HVAC service experience — residential, commercial, or both Experience leading, coaching or developing technicians Comfortable sitting with a profit and loss statement every month Comfortable in ServiceTitan, or able to get good at it quickly Valid driver's license and a driving record clean enough to insure High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
Previous service manager or service lead experience Commercial HVAC service experience EPA and/or NATE certification Experience growing a maintenance membership base
Physical Requirements:
Split between an office and the field. In the field, exposure to current weather conditions and occasional entry into attics, crawl spaces and other confined areas for short periods. Requires walking, standing, stooping, squatting, climbing, reaching overhead and driving a company vehicle.
Position Summary:
Tuck & Howell is looking for an HVAC Service Manager to lead, develop, and grow its service department. With an $85K base + uncapped bonus , this role offers target earnings of $135K+ with the opportunity to earn significantly more. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, people-focused leader who enjoys coaching technicians, improving performance, and owning the numbers while building a team that works hard, has fun, and takes pride in the work.
Core Responsibilities:
Meet one-on-one with every technician on a regular schedule and pick one thing to work on together Ride along often enough to see how your people diagnose, present and talk to customers, then coach on what you saw Write performance reviews every quarter, on time, so nobody is guessing where they stand Build training that covers the technical side, the sales side and the customer side Hire well, onboard properly, and handle the harder conversations the right way Own your department's revenue and profitability against a budget you help build Keep invoicing current and job costing reviewed — that's how your technicians get paid Review payroll weekly, watch overtime, and get it in on deadline Walk your own numbers line by line with our Controller each month Meet with Operations and Marketing monthly to share what your team is seeing in the field Build the department's systems — escalations, warranties, callbacks, parts ordering, truck stock and inventory — written down, owned, and running on a schedule
