The Field Manager is responsible for overseeing the field operations of the Landscape Maintenance Division while ensuring PureGreen's professional, production, safety, and quality standards are consistently met. This position works closely with multiple maintenance crews and serves as an important connection between field operations, Account Managers, and company leadership. The Field Manager is responsible for quality control, crew development, productivity, training, and ensuring contract requirements and customer expectations are met. This role is ideal for an experienced landscape professional who enjoys leading people, solving problems in the field, and developing teams while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Operations & Crew Leadership- Manage and coordinate the daily field operations of assigned landscape maintenance crews
- Oversee and work alongside 3-4 maintenance crews to ensure productivity and quality standards are met
- Coordinate crew scheduling and daily field priorities
- Train, coach, motivate, and develop Crew Leaders and Crew Members
- Support employee performance management and staffing needs within the division
- Ensure crews understand daily assignments, property expectations, and production goals
- Enforce all company operational and safety procedures and policies Quality, Safety & Production
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure PureGreen standards and contract requirements are met
- Maintain a safe and productive working environment for all field employees
- Reinforce safety expectations and support ongoing field safety training
- Track jobs and crew performance to ensure work is completed efficiently and within budget
- Submit required daily logs and production information
- Identify operational issues and take appropriate action to keep crews productive and properties on standard Teamwork & Communication
- Serve as a liaison between field operations, Account Managers, administrative staff, and company leadership
- Communicate field conditions, customer concerns, staffing needs, and operational issues promptly
- Work closely with Account Managers to support customer satisfaction and client retention
- Attend company meetings, training sessions, and development opportunities as required
- Maintain clear, professional communication with employees, customers, and management Equipment & Company Resources
- Ensure company trucks, trailers, equipment, tools, and other company property are properly maintained
- Monitor equipment needs and communicate repairs or replacement needs promptly
- Promote responsible use and care of all company-provided resources
- Ensure crews have the equipment and resources necessary to complete scheduled work efficiently
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial landscape maintenance or landscape management required
- Previous experience leading and managing multiple landscape crews
- Strong knowledge of commercial landscape maintenance practices, quality standards, and field operations
- Self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to coach, train, motivate, and hold team members accountable
- Ability to organize, plan, and manage multiple priorities to achieve desired results
- Comfortable using spreadsheets, including Microsoft Excel
- Ability to learn and utilize landscape management software such as Aspire
- Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems under tight deadlines
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to successfully complete required background and drug screening
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to regularly travel between commercial properties and job sites
- Ability to perform physical activities including bending, kneeling, lifting, and reaching as needed
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
