Eskola LLC is seeking a hands-on and experienced Commercial Roofing Service Operations Supervisor to lead our service operations in Charleston, South Carolina. This role functions as the operational leader for all related field activities for their assigned territory including but not limited to, crew leadership and development, development of service project scope and pricing, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial roofing knowledge, leadership abilities, and the professionalism necessary to communicate effectively with both field personnel and clients. This role is designed for an individual looking to build a long-term career path within our organization, with advancement opportunities toward future responsibilities. We are looking for a hands-on leader who takes pride in workmanship, accountability, safety, and team development.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Service Operations & Field Leadership:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of roofing crews on service and repair projects. Conduct morning briefings to assign tasks, review safety protocols, and set daily goals. Ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Conduct safety inspections and enforce compliance with OSHA and company safety standards Maintain accurate records of labor hours, materials used, and job progress. Approve material costs and purchases up to a designated limit, in coordination with the service manager Assist in managing material inventory and equipment usage
Scope & Estimating Support:
Assist in estimating and quoting service jobs when needed. Estimate material quantities based on job needs and submit material requests Collaborate with service manager or sales team on job planning and cost control Document all job details clearly for execution and follow-up
Team Leadership & Development:
Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training of field technicians Lead, mentor, and develop service technicians and foremen Conduct regular jobsite visits and team huddles to address progress and issues
Customer Service & Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during service projects. Conduct pre-job walkthroughs and post-job inspections with customers. Address customer concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction. Provide detailed service reports and recommendations for future maintenance. Handle client concerns with urgency and professionalism. Provide updates to customers, service managers, and office staff regarding job status Ensure customer satisfaction through professional communication and responsive support Administrative Support (Non-Financial): Maintain accurate service records, field notes, timecards, and material logs Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. Document job completion photos, warranties, and follow-up tasks as needed Use company systems and software to update job progress and field activities
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of commercial roofing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead foreman role. Proven leadership and supervisory experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, repair methods, and service best practices. Skilled in scope writing, estimating materials, and coordinating small job logistics. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilities. Experience managing customer expectations. Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening as a condition of hire. Must possess a valid driver's license and a dependable personal vehicle to travel to job sites as required. Must be comfortable working at heights and capable of safely using ladders and other elevated access equipment.
Certifications:
OSHA 10 or 30 (Required) Valid Driver's License (Required)
Technology Skills:
Proficient with mobile timecard tracking, material ordering, and digital documentation tools Basic Microsoft Office knowledge (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Work Environment:
Frequent outdoor work on commercial rooftops in varying weather conditions Must be able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks Occasional travel within the region for jobsite support
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
Above average knowledge of commercial roofing software (ex: DataForma) Aerial Man Lift and/or Forklift certification First Aid, CPR & AED certification Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is preferred
