Job Description

Gibson Electric Membership Corporation has two (2) Manager of Operations positions now open. (1)The Manager of Operations-North supervises the Line Crewleaders and Service Crewleaders reporting to our Troy, Tiptonville and Clinton Member Service Centers and must live within or be willing to relocate to live within 25 road miles by Google Maps of either the Troy, Tiptonville or Clinton Member Service Center. (2)The Manager of Operations-South supervises the Line Crewleaders (including construction) and Service Crewleaders reporting to Alamo and Trenton Member Service Centers and must live within or be willing to relocate to live within 25 road miles by Google Maps of either the Alamo or Trenton Member Service Center.
Position Summary:
The position plans, schedules, and oversees work required in the safe, efficient, and proper construction, operation, and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution and transmission lines and facilities. Fills in for the other Manager of Operations as needed. Performs system-wide rotating on-call duty and sees that all trouble calls receive prompt action. Directs personnel and equipment and helps coordinate work activities during system outages and/or abnormalities.
Qualified applicants must have:
Five years of experience as a line/service crewleader. Ten years of lineworker experience in an electric utility. Knowledge of safe and productive practices and procedures for electric and fiber construction and maintenance.
