Operations Manager/General Manager Position Summary The Assistant Operations Manager plays a key role in the daily success of Lions Den Gym by ensuring exceptional customer service, supporting membership growth, maintaining smooth front desk operations, and assisting with overall facility management. This position requires strong leadership, sales ability, organizational skills, and the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operations Assist with the daily operation of the gym to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Support the Operations Manager with staff scheduling, training, and daily supervision. Ensure all opening and closing procedures are completed accurately. Address member concerns and resolve issues professionally. Monitor facility cleanliness, equipment condition, and overall member experience. Maintain compliance with company policies and safety procedures. Membership Sales Conduct professional gym tours for prospective members. Explain membership options, promotions, and amenities. Follow up with leads through phone calls, emails, and text messages. Process new memberships, renewals, upgrades, and cancellations accurately. Build relationships with members to encourage referrals and retention. Front Desk Responsibilities Greet all members and guests with a positive, friendly attitude. Check members in and verify guest access. Answer incoming phone calls and respond to inquiries. Handle retail sales, payments, and daily cash reconciliation. Schedule appointments, tours, and consultations. Maintain accurate member records and update account information. Assist with administrative tasks and filing as needed. Customer Service Deliver outstanding service to members and guests at all times. Handle complaints professionally and seek timely resolutions. Promote a positive, energetic atmosphere throughout the gym. Encourage member engagement and participation in gym programs and events. Qualifications Previous experience in gym, fitness, retail, hospitality, or customer service management preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills and experience with membership management software is a plus. CPR/AED certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to demonstrate or assist with basic fitness equipment when necessary. Schedule Requirements Must be available to work flexible shifts, including: Evenings Weekends Holidays Availability to assist with special events or staff coverage as needed. Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
