Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations. This position works closely with the Operations Manager to ensure efficient workflow, maintain safety standards, coordinate logistics activities, and supervise warehouse personnel. The ideal candidate is bilingual, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Skills and Experience:
Preferred Skills Warehouse and logistics experience. Traffic and transportation management knowledge. Bill of Lading preparation. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to train and supervise employees. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate warehouse, shipping, and receiving personnel. Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and transportation schedules. Prepare Bills of Lading and shipping documentation. Schedule pick-up and delivery appointments for freight. Communicate with carriers, customers, and sister companies in both English and Spanish. Monitor trailer conditions, including seal control, diesel levels, and temperature requirements. Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and operational software. Ensure compliance with safety policies and operational procedures. Conduct yard, warehouse, and equipment inspections. Organize employee schedules and delegate daily tasks. Train and support warehouse staff while assisting with recruitment and performance evaluations when needed.
