  • 150,000 base + performance bonus The Opportunity Volar Health MSO is an early-stage healthcare company in the Rio Grande Valley building two connected businesses: A growing internal medicine practice with a Medicare Advantage panel and room to expand locations and service lines.
A care management MSO delivering CCM and RPM to primary care practices across the RGV. We are looking for a senior operator to help build and scale both sides of the business. This is a true #2 role reporting directly to the founder, with hiring authority, P&L visibility, and a real seat at the table. The role is roughly 50% internal medicine growth and 50% Volar Health MSO growth. What You'll Own Internal Medicine Practice Grow the Medicare Advantage panel through marketing, broker relationships, AEP execution, and referral networks.
Lead value-based care execution:
HCC capture, AWVs, HEDIS gap closure, Stars improvement, and payer relationships. Launch new service lines, including Behavioral Health Integration and dietetics/MNT. Help open new locations across the RGV. Build a physician recruiting pipeline through UTRGV, J-1/Conrad 30 channels, direct outreach, and local relationships. Lead the existing team across providers, MAs, care coordinators, and office leadership. Volar Health MSO Onboard new partner practices from EHR data pull through consent, staffing, billing setup, and go-live. Own CCM/RPM billing operations, including documentation, coding, time tracking, claims, denials, and compliance. Build and lead the care management team across multiple sites. Use AI and software tools to reduce manual work in outreach, documentation, eligibility, and billing. Year 1 Success Looks Like 350 net new Medicare Advantage lives added. One new physician hired and onboarded. Second location built out and ready to open. BHI and dietetics live and billing. 3-4 partner practices onboarded to Volar Health

denial rate under 5%. At least two meaningful workflow automations live. Ideal Background 7+ years in healthcare operations, preferably in primary care, Medicare Advantage, or value-based care. Experience with HCC, HEDIS, Stars, AWVs, CCM, RPM, and healthcare billing operations. Experience leading teams and building processes in a growth-stage environment. Bilingual English/Spanish required. On-site in McAllen, TX. Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $110,000
