About Us Dietz Gun Range has been serving the New Braunfels community since 1967. As a family-owned shooting range built by generations of shooters, we take pride in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and professionally run environment for our customers and staff. We are not a large corporate operation. We are a small, hands-on business where every team member matters, leadership works alongside the staff, and consistency and trust are important to daily operations.

Position Overview Dietz Gun Range is seeking a dependable, hands-on Range Operations Lead to help oversee daily operations, support staff, and maintain a safe and professional customer experience. This is an active working leadership role in a small business environment. The ideal candidate is someone who leads by example, stays organized under pressure, communicates well with both customers and staff, and can help keep daily operations running smoothly and consistently. This position works closely with ownership and staff to support: daily range operations customer service staff coordination operational consistency safety awareness inventory and facility organization We are looking for someone who is reliable, level-headed, and capable of handling day-to-day operations responsibly while maintaining clear communication with ownership and following established business standards. Schedule Full-time salaried position Wednesday
  • Sunday 9:30 AM
  • 6:00 PM Business hours are 10:00 AM
  • 6:00 PM On-site position Business activity is seasonal, with our busiest period typically occurring during the fall and holiday season.
Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Operations Help oversee day-to-day range operations Support smooth customer flow and lane usage Open and close the facility Assist with customer issues and operational problems professionally Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment Staff Support & Leadership Help coordinate daily staff activities Support team accountability and professionalism Assist with training and coaching staff when needed Reinforce operational procedures and expectations Lead by example in work ethic, communication, and customer service Customer Experience Help ensure customers have a safe, positive, and professional experience Handle customer concerns calmly and professionally Support membership sales, retail sales, and overall customer service efforts Operations & Organization Help maintain consistent operational procedures Ensure POS systems and RangeApp are used correctly and consistently Assist with inventory organization and operational supplies Help identify practical improvements to daily workflow and operations Communicate operational concerns, issues, or recommendations clearly with ownership Facility & Maintenance Coordination Help monitor cleanliness and operational readiness of the facility Coordinate or assist with routine maintenance tasks as needed Help maintain organization throughout the range and retail areas Safety Awareness Support a strong culture of safety throughout daily operations Reinforce range rules and safe behavior Work alongside Range Safety staff and ownership to maintain a professional environment QualificationsRequired Prior leadership, operations, retail, hospitality, or supervisory experience Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to stay calm and professional in a fast-paced environment Comfortable making practical day-to-day decisions General computer and point-of-sale system proficiency Reliable, self-motivated, and dependable Environment Fit Comfortable working around firearms and in a live-fire environment Comfortable in a loud, active workplace Willing to take a hands-on role in daily operations Able to work weekends and maintain consistent attendance Preferred Military or law enforcement background Firearms industry, range, or outdoor sporting experience NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) Certification Firearm maintenance, armorer, or technical firearms experience Experience in a small-business operational environment Working Conditions Active, on-your-feet role for much of the shift Exposure to loud noise and live-fire activity May occasionally assist with lifting, moving equipment, stocking, or general upkeep Eye and hearing protection required in designated areas What Success Looks Like Smooth and consistent daily operations Professional customer interactions Reliable staff coordination and communication Consistent operational standards Organized and well-maintained facility Strong teamwork and accountability Customers and staff feeling safe, welcomed, and respected Ownership able to trust daily operations are being handled responsibly and professionally This Role Is a
