Job Description:
Summary Lead the Depot Operations Business Unit from implementation through go-live and into full commercial operations. This role is accountable for the depot's financial performance, operational excellence, and site safety, while ensuring high productivity, strong labor relations, and exceptional customer experience. The position focuses on developing and scaling operations at the site and surrounding facilities to achieve global operational standards. It is responsible for driving workforce efficiency, fostering a strong safety culture, and ensuring disciplined cost management to deliver sustainable and competitive operations. Key Responsibilities Lead the Depot Safety, Environmental, and Health & Wellness measures to ensure we meet our industry-leading obligations to keep our people, environment, equipment, and cargo free from harm. Lead customer engagement across all aspects of facility operations, building trust and supporting business growth. Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers, key stakeholders, government agencies, and both internal and external institutional partners. Ensure strong leadership focuses on productivity, workforce training, process documentation, employee engagement, and effective labor relations. Ensure strong financial performance and fiscal discipline across the organization, with a focus on competitive margins, asset optimization, and effective cost management. Manage compliance with contracts, licenses, tax obligations, and labor laws, collaborating closely with Legal, Human Resources, and Finance to ensure timely and accurate execution of all requirements. Ensure all compliance standards and regulatory matters are maintained by all company personnel. Manage and safeguard the interests of the joint venture, ensuring all audit requirements are met, legal obligations are fulfilled, and commitment guidelines are clearly understood and practiced across all affiliated companies. Foster and sustain a culture of continuous improvement and proactive risk management across operations, ensuring alignment with company policies and guidelines. Ensure leadership is well-informed of facility performance through monthly meetings and timely ad hoc communications. Business unit P/L Stakeholder Management (Internal/External) Operational KPI's Cost Management and control Customer Satisfaction Vendor Relationship Required experience & skills Port / Terminal / Railways / Trucking or Logistics knowledge and experience. P&L experience and strong working knowledge of the key levers of profitability. Understanding and experience in Labor Relations in this industry. Strong commercial acumen in the transportation industry, with the ability to effectively engage and build relationships with customers. Strong continuous improvement mindset with a focus on optimizing processes, efficiency, and operational performance. Demonstrated a safety-first mindset with strong awareness of operational risks and commitment to proactive risk management. Strong vendor and supplier management skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships and ensure high service standards. Process-oriented with a strong focus on standardization, efficiency, and operational discipline. Parameters for Success (key measures) Customer Satisfaction (NPS) EBIT Margin HSSE Indicators TRIR Total Recordable Incident Rate and /LTIFR Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate - Total Recordable Incident Rate Annual Revenue and Volume Growth Non-organic business growth Asset / Capacity Utilization Productivity Expected Working Hours This position oversees a multi-shift operation and requires a 40-hour work week during standard business hours. In addition, the role requires flexibility and availability during nights, weekends, and holidays based on customer and business needs, including potential adjustments to accommodate global time zone differences.
Pay Range:
$130,000 - $160,000•The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
