Exempt Scope of Position:

The Area Manager will manage daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure service delivery consistency across multiple locations, while maintaining alignment with workforce development goals. This position is responsible for the overall coordination and performance of program services and ensuring that contract regulations are adhered to.

Essential Functions:
  • Establish professional working relationships with program partners
  • Attend required meetings and apprise staff of discussions held at these meetings
  • Address human resource and staff concerns
  • Ensure that staff and program resources are being utilized appropriately
  • Provide a positive vision for required changes during program operation
  • Utilize positive communication techniques to resolve issues
  • Day-to-day management of office operations
  • Facilitate weekly staff meetings and supervise check-ins
  • Monitor program budgets and expenditures, and provide input to Finance team regarding program fiscal matters
  • Review and approve purchase orders, expense reports, audit paperwork, process changes, and staff schedules
  • Directly supervise designated staff
  • Monitor progress toward contractual performance targets, develop solutions for performance issues, and prepare performance reports
  • Address customer complaints/issues/concerns as needed
  • Conduct interviews and make recommendations for the hiring of new staff as needed
  • Ensure that staff understand and adhere to company and program policies
  • Collaborate with collocated partner agency staff and assist with coordination of onsite services and events, customer referrals, and adherence to any facility policies and procedures

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and 5-10 years of relevant leadership experience
  • Previous management experience desired
  • Should have skills and experience in providing career development assistance
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Must have experience in a team-oriented environment
  • Should be able to converse with a wide range of professionals and demonstrate a positive professional attitude
