Job Description

The Dual Fuel Technician will provide cross-district support to optimize dual fuel displacement performance through training, auditing, troubleshooting, and operational support. This role focuses on improving consistency, maximizing substitution rates, and ensuring proper use and performance of dual fuel systems across fleets. This role is designed to be a high-impact, field-focused position that drives measurable improvements in dual fuel performance. Success will be defined by improved displacement consistency, reduced troubleshooting time, and increased technical capability in the field.
Essential Responsibilities:
Travel district to district to support field operations in optimizing dual fuel displacement performance Analyze fleet performance and identify opportunities to improve substitution and system efficiency Audit dual fuel systems to ensure proper setup, operation, and utilization Audit gas supply rig-up to ensure proper configuration, safety, and performance of gas delivery systems Monitor gas quality and conditions, including BTU content, visible liquids, temperature, and dew point Provide hands-on training to Operators, Service Supervisors, and Technicians Troubleshoot dual fuel system issues in the field Reinforce best practices and standard operating procedures Act as a technical resource for dual fuel systems Work with district leadership, maintenance, and electronics teams to improve performance Provide feedback on recurring issues and equipment performance Assist in development of internal dual fuel training programs Track and report displacement performance and trends Provide daily reporting on issues addressed, actions taken, and coaching deliveredEducation and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent Strong technical background (maintenance, electronics, or field operations) Dual fuel experience preferred (NGS/NGD, CAT DGB, or similar) Experience troubleshooting mechanical and/or electrical systems Ability to train and communicate effectivelyKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Operates in a professional and/or business casual office environment. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, photocopiers/scanners, and smartphones. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds Must be able to adhere to process protocol Strong work ethics of integrity and honesty striving for excellence in all activities employing accompanying communication.
