Job Description

About UVAA Utah Vocal Arts Academy is a rapidly evolving vocal training institution. We are transitioning from a traditional lesson studio into a structured training academy offering tiered programs, performance opportunities, online education, and a proprietary vocal training system rooted in the Italian vocal tradition. We are seeking an Operations & Growth Manager who is excited not only to help run the business, but to help build it. This is not a traditional administrative position. We are looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, improving systems, supporting customers, and helping grow a meaningful educational organization. The Opportunity This role combines operations, customer experience, enrollment support, marketing, and content coordination. The right candidate will become a key member of the leadership team and help shape the future growth of the academy. You will work closely with the founder to improve systems, increase enrollment, strengthen client relationships, and expand the academy's online presence. Key Responsibilities Operations & Administration Manage day-to-day studio operations and communication Coordinate scheduling and student records Ensure smooth execution of programs, events, and evaluations Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements Help build systems that support growth and scalability Enrollment & Student Success Respond promptly to inquiries from prospective students Guide students through the evaluation and enrollment process Maintain strong relationships with current students and families Support retention through proactive communication and excellent service Track enrollment and retention metrics Marketing & Growth Coordinate and schedule social media content Assist with content creation and editing Help grow the academy's online presence Support marketing campaigns, workshops, and special events Contribute ideas that increase visibility, enrollment, and revenue Content Creation A significant part of this role involves helping create and distribute content for social media and online education. The ideal candidate should have experience with: Short-form video editing Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook content Caption writing and content scheduling Basic graphic design using Canva or similar tools Repurposing content across multiple platforms You do not need to be a professional videographer, but you should understand how to create engaging content from raw video and audio recordings. Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Highly organized and dependable Self-motivated and proactive Excellent with people and customer communication Comfortable working independently Interested in marketing and business growth Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems Excited by the idea of helping build something meaningful Experience in music, arts, education, customer service, marketing, or content creation is preferred but not required. Compensation $22-$25/hour depending on experience Part-time position Performance-based incentives tied to growth and enrollment Flexible scheduling Opportunity for expanded responsibility and advancement as the academy grows Why This Role Is Different Most administrative jobs focus on maintaining existing systems.
