537879 Blacksburg, Virginia, United States Center for the Arts at VT Other Performing Arts / Music / Theatre Recreation / Event Full-Time (Salaried) Virginia Tech Job Description The Patron Services Operations Manager provides leadership and oversight for front-of-house operations at the Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech; including patron services, rental event management, and concessions. Reporting to the Director of Ticketing and Patron Services, this position manages front-of-house operations and staffing while ensuring exceptional patron experiences. The Manager supervises student and wage staff, collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, and serves as a key operational leader in support of the Center's performances and events. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in arts administration, business, event management, hospitality management, theater management, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends Customer service and conflict resolution experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, coordinate projects or activities, and maintain accurate and timely administrative records Preferred Qualifications Experience coordinating events, venue operations, patron service operations, or related activities Experience recruiting, training, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating employees, student workers, volunteers, or event staff Experience with ticketing systems such as Audience View Experience with venue management systems such as Artifax Experience managing rental or client-based events Experience in a performing arts center, university venue, conference center, or similar public assembly facility Experience overseeing concessions, retail, or ancillary revenue operations Emergency management, CPR, or First Aid certification
Overtime Status Non-Exempt:
