Amentum is seeking a PPSO Supervisor to support a unique US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia.

Job Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage personal property support services to ensure the proper and timely movement, storage, and handling of personal property and Unaccompanied Baggage (UB) for military personnel, civilian employees, and their dependents.

Supervise daily operations, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) regulations and policies for the shipment, receipt, and storage of personal property.

Lead a team of PPSO Specialists and provide clear tasking, guidance, and quality control to ensure efficient and effective support services.

Evaluate performance of team members, provide coaching, and implement training initiatives to maintain a high level of operational proficiency and service quality.

Develop and implement operational processes and strategies to improve workflow, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Monitor and audit all aspects of property movement, storage, and shipment processes for compliance with applicable contracts and guidelines.

Assist customers with complex personal property shipments, including addressing issues related to delays, discrepancies, or damages.

Coordinate closely with logistics providers, transportation service providers, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of contracted services.

Prepare and submit regular performance and operational reports to management and government representatives.

Maintain accurate and updated records of all shipments using relevant systems to track movement, resolve errors, and avoid delays.

Ensure adherence to safety and security protocols, including the handling of classified and sensitive information.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.

Required Qualifications:

3-5 years of relevant experience in personal property shipping, logistics, or transportation operations, including experience in a supervisory or management role.

High school diploma or equivalent; advanced certifications in logistics or transportation are preferred.

Expertise in managing personal property preparation, shipping, receiving, and storage processes.

Proficiency in using logistics data systems and tools for tracking and reporting.

Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with fluency in English (written and verbal).

Must be detail-oriented and capable of solving complex logistical issues independently.

Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.

Passport should be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.

Ability to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.

Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for the duration of deployment.

Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.

Must be able to speak, read, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce is preferred.

Valid country driver's license.

Extensive knowledge of DoD regulations, including working knowledge of the Defense Personal Property System (DPS).

Experience managing logistics or personal property services in a military or government environment.

Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team in a high-tempo operation.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for handling unique and unexpected challenges in shipping and storage operations.

Working Environment

This position is located on Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT), a remote overseas location supporting U.S. Government operations. Employees may work in office, industrial, warehouse, port, airfield, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements.

Physical Requirements

Requirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments. Must be able to meet all medical, security, and deployment requirements associated with assignment to a remote overseas location.
