About Our Client Our Client is a growing manufacturer of precision industrial products serving customers across a variety of manufacturing and fabrication industries. The company is committed to quality, responsiveness, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Position Summary Our Client is seeking a highly capable Tooling Operations Manager to lead quoting, purchasing, manufacturing support, and day-to-day business unit operations. This role combines technical problem solving, customer support, supplier management, manufacturing engineering, and operational leadership. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with customers, suppliers, and production teams while helping drive efficiency, quality, and business performance. This position offers significant growth potential and is designed for someone who can become a key leader within the organization. Key Responsibilities Review customer specifications and requirements to develop accurate quotations and technical recommendations. Serve as a technical resource for customers, distributors, and internal teams. Communicate with customers regarding quotations, lead times, order status, and product requirements. Manage supplier relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for key vendors. Procure raw materials, components, and production supplies to support manufacturing operations. Monitor inventory levels and maintain purchasing plans that balance customer demand, lead times, and inventory investment. Support daily manufacturing operations and serve as a technical resource for production personnel. Troubleshoot production, quality, and process-related issues to minimize downtime and improve performance. Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, throughput, efficiency, and cost reduction. Assist with production planning and coordination to ensure customer commitments are met. Qualifications 3-10 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, operations, or a related technical field. CNC Tool Grinding or Carbide Tooling experience strongly preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability. Experience reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements. Background in Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, Operations Management, or a related discipline preferred. Experience with purchasing, inventory management, supplier coordination, or manufacturing support preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Ideal Candidate Traits Technically curious and detail-oriented. Strong sense of ownership and accountability. Organized, proactive, and self-motivated. Comfortable working across engineering, operations, purchasing, and customer-facing activities. Interested in growing into a broader leadership role.
Compensation Salary:
